A friend of mine is joining the order of priesthood he spent 6 months in Sicily. He shown me a video what amaze me was how many priests/sisters walking around in long dress. It was so lovely to see. Here in the UK many of our priests/sister try to wear more western clothes. As sicilly got a strong catholic hold like south america? and is this seen through out the country. This video is bland and boring (why so much focus on modern architecture??), completely unlike Sicily itself. I spent two weeks there this past Spring and I'm going back next year to spend 10 nights in Palermo. An unbelievably beautiful and fascinating place. Unfortunately, it has many problems too (mafia, political corruption), but a visitor to Sicily does not see these things. Go to Sicily and have your mind blown!

The islands between Sicily and the mainland are beautiful as are the people. It's certainly a step back in history.
