it would have a lesser explosion if u put the mentos into a blender... the full mentos have pits on the surface which act as nucleation sites, and u destroy most of them by blending them, so u might be able to fix in 2x more times the mentos into the soda quickly, but at the same time u will have a lesser explosion = regular explosion
