machines and clipcords not bagged - cross contamination, boom dirty shop - do not pay for this "education".. get into a real apprenticeship at a real shop, when you go to apply to a real tattoo studio and say you went to a tattoo learning school, you will be laughed out of the shop.
here in TN u have to apprentice 4 a yr .. school not accepted.. thats why I said check with your health dept ..and YES I do own my own shop .. did 2 real apprenticeships .. you cant learn everything you need 2 know in 2 wks... dont want to see some1 spend $5 grand thinking they will be able 2 go back home and do this for a living off of what they learned at this school .. so again CHECK WITH YOUR LOCAL HEALTH DEPT .. and one summer does not make you succesfull .. we will see where u r in 5 yrs

no actually my apprenticship was great.. I just think it sucks that the school is stealing peoples money on the hopes that they might become a lisenced artist in their home state and thats not the case and the shool does not tell them that beforehand... just another hack trying to make quick money off peoples hopes and dreams.... and I didnt have to wash floors for two years.. but at least I did get the proper traing which DID take more than two weeks
I live in Ontario, Canada, and I'm attending this school in Feb... clearly I realize I won't become a licensed tattoo artist in Ontario, but I do realize that its the experience you're paying for, not the guarantee of a job... i don't really know what constitutes "proper training" either, except for the fact that you're doing in 2 years what this school teaches you in two weeks.... if you're looking for a quick feel for the industry to see if its right for you, this place is great
no Justin they do not teach you what you would learn in two yrs that is impossible ... machine basics and tuning will take more than two weeks by itselfnot to mention everything else you should learn b4 you actually put ink to skin but as long as you know ahead of time it wont get u a lisence than ok that was my point .. good luck although I would suggest you go to a shop you like that does good wrk and ask about an apprenticship and what they think of these so called schools
