One thing l've noticed with reviewers or commentators from the UK is that they are quite good at making you chuckle now and then. You being one of them thank you.
i actually kinda enjoyed facing off against the police.
I do agree that it is annoying facing them in groups but i generally found a way around large groups of enemies without having to fight them, i did actually manage to do it without shooting a gun aswell. The final level was hard.
@MrBeaning - I didn't find it hard, I found it frustrating. And if you try playing without using a gun, you'll see it's a very different game. Taking on the police without a gun is incredibly annoying.
Great review. Whilst this is a great game, I have to agree that they messed up with the combat and at times made it overly challenging. Overall, however, it was great fun, and keyboard/mouse controls will always be better for first-person shooters.
I agree but also I only have ps3 version so i dno there should be a 2nd 1 but i get tired of same stuff over an over they need new stuff an ect all in all it's a beautiful surrounded game with an ok story it needs a little work tbh I have completed it though does any 1else agree???
whoa, never knew Mirror's Edge takes that route near the end of the game. Just so ironic that the game was marketed as a game that you could beat without firing a single shot... Such games should not be combat heavy.
The PC exlucisve physics feature is really awesome I think. Graphics look sweet for this game.
Sadly, it does. Takes the sheen off what was otherwise a really good game. PC version is by far the best, graphically and control wise. The added physics stuff really add to the game and the mouselook is second to none.
i picked this up on the pc after watching this and you are right the controls do work very well on the pc. however i did not mind the "stealth" gameplay at all
Cheers for the comments. I just found the controls a little unintuitive for AC ont he keyboard. They were great on a pad, but it just felt a little odd on k/b.
Hopefully you've seen all of my reviews so far, I'm making them all the time, so keep an eye out for more! :)

How did you find it hard?
Only bit which got me annoyed was when you had to destroy the server things and i had no clue what to do.

The combat sections are easy, as long as you get a gun

@waffeinfinland - The whole point is to not use a gun though...

You timed that kick to the bollocks line with the in-game bollocks kick perfectly.

Thanks, it took some effort too :)

Mirror's Edge is probably the scariest and most intense game I've ever played.
Being chased by the runner-cops really got my heart racing and falling helplessly down from the roof-top of sears-fucking-tower is really scary.
So I'll have to disagree with you about the later parts of the game (partly).
Still, a most excellent review.
