this is amazing..praise God for what he has done in these peoples' lives as well as ours everyday, giving us new opportunities to praise Him, glorify Him, and lift up His name. john 16:33 says although we have tribulation, take heart for HE has overcome the world.

God is sovereign over everything; even disasters... Amos 3:6 When a trumpet sounds in a city, do not the people tremble? When disaster comes to a city, has not the LORD caused it?

God allows human suffering to demonstrate His greatness and draw people to Him... Isaiah 30:20 Although the Lord gives you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, your teachers will be hidden no more; with your own eyes you will see them.

@socksumi We have shamed God by rejecting Him and His law, but because He loves us He came to earth as the God man Jesus who lived a perfect life then died in our place and rose from death defeating death. We can accept His grace, repent and follow Him or continue to be hard hearted... John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
