Did anyone notice the smug-looking lady to the left of Kirk? If looks could kill, Lauren would need life support. The lady looked as though she purposefully ignored Lauren by looking downward as others looked ahead. Geez, so obvious the attitude emanating from the lady in the audience. Whoa!

all hail the only sole surviving 50s bombshell of today...what i respect most about her is she is so health conscious unlike marilyn monroe who commit suicide by drug overdose herself after serious emotional problems...also 2 other bright stars that come and go 2 early in between LB lifespan...keep on living healthy granny...haha

@itsjustme2919 False. When she was younger, her voice was high and shrill. She hired a voice coach and read aloud for hours a day to get her voice to the husky sound that it is today.

@coolkid1234533 She smoked in a lot of her movies and was indeed a smoker. Famous for it. Not quite Bette Davis level but up there. Im sure smoking helped make her voice that way. Yes I heard about the voice coach. But you can't honestly tell me someone who was always seen smoking in movies, interviews etc didn't get their voice by just exercises alone. The smoking sure made it worse. Same with Lucille Ball who did fake voice for the character Lucy because she had a chain smokers voice irl.

@itsjustme2919 Yes, but you see her voice has always been that way. In her first movie ever 1944's To Have or Have Not, when she was only 19 her voice was already deep, husky and raspy. You can't tell me that she had been chain smoking since she was like 10 or something.

@szewei85 um healthy conscious? Maybe now. But back then, especially in her heyday? No. Lauren Bacall smoked like a chimney. She watched Bogey die of lung cancer and still smoked. In fact, she didnt quit smoking according to her, in 1986. In my opinion shes just lucky.
