  • I was there, like it was yesterday, my how time flies!

  • Larry Gowan is one of the best and always will be - he was brilliant then and is still brilliant with STYX. I have the Strange Animal Album my first one broke and Sony in Canada sent me a new one ! Thanks to them for keeping my dead fiancés memory alive (the original tape was his - we intended to marry and emigrate to Canada but it was not to be he died 17 years ago now) But this album always makes me smile.

  • gowangirl, thanks so much for this video. I was at this show and can say he put on a hell of a performance that night. Better than the 2 times I had seen him at the Ontario Place Forum. I knew they recorded the concert but never got to see any video of it until now. I was sitting right behind the mixing booth. Great seats as we had an unobstructed view of the stage and we got to watch live video feeds on their monitors.

  • where was this and is that a joy division t-shirt he is wearing?

  • Can't wait to see this song live..soon!!!

  • wow his step brother was in this video ....remember the concert in oshawa 26 years ago my first concert my Mum took me and I will never forget Larry/Lawrence love his music always ...26 barns cresent if my shurlock holms serves me correct...lol

  • @stevenstu Terry is Gowan's brother.

  • Yes, it is ironic how these lyrics hold up... so true for today.... ironic and sad.

  • ***Actually John Lennon wrote and recorded a song titled "Sunday Bloody Sunday" ten years before U2 came up with their version!!!!

  • Wow seeing these old videos really take me back.

I had the joy of seeing Gowan 4 times. I was at this show... I feel old now! LOL

No but really, thanks to all of you for posting them :)

  • It's Gowan always, of course, but little brother is not too hard on the eyes either...

  • I would agree!

  • Awesome song!

  • I had no idea it was only released in Can.

  • this fkn TIMELESS gowan anthem better be exposed to the (public)... Republic of U S A...

  • if anybody in the music industry has any brains , please redo this very 'timely piece" of art

  • like u Gowan, tu fais partis intégrantes de ma jeunesse comment t'en remercier.

  • This song nailed it for me for my love affair with him. I lived in Santo Domingo for nearly 10 years when I was just a kid. Back then hardly anyone had heard of the Dominican Republic let alone Santo Domingo. So when I heard this song I was impressed.

  • great guy, shame he no longer records solo

  • i was a radio DJ in the 80's and we could not play this song on the radio, this was a great album and i played the heck out of the cassette in my car, lol what a great time to be 21 years old

  • UNDERATED to the MAX ...cant believe this awesome song is not used in US army navy marine ,air force , ads for recriuts

  • Probably because it is Anti-War!! That would be my guess why it is not used for recruiting US Military. Also, this awesome song was only released in Canada.

  • love you gowangirl, americans should hear this anti war didy, also the criminal mind masterwork

  • hey Wiggertronix I Completly agree dude

  • forgive me ,but this cool song is compelling ,one way or another, cant decide wich side of the coin this song represents

  • this song should be on the US army navy airforce promotional ads, because its real

  • Another cool tune by Gowan..really cool with the Chapman Stick instead of bass. Those things had a great sound but went out of style fast.

  • yeah! Gowan rocks! thanks gowangirl!

  • wow !!! thank you sharing this i love this song
