A soldier died in the field of battle and came up to the gates of heaven, where he met God. He said to God," Lord, I know I did many things i ain't proud of, and many more that you won't approve of, so if you send me to hell, I won't argue." God stood there for a moment, and then turned to the gatekeeper of heaven. "Let him in", he said.? The gatekeeper, confused, asked why. God looked down at the soldier and said," This man just came from hell."
my love and respect to all the fallen soldiers of this country n their wives i know how hard it is to loose somebody you love but in this world nothing is given to us we gotta fight for our freedom thanks to all you soldiers out there all my respect goes out to you and your families
Peter Jennings called them "The Greatest Generation". He nailed it. We will not see their like again. We certainly don't see them today. We've become a bunch of whiners and pissants, electing politicians who are nothing more than front men for big business. Somewhere, somehow, we've lost sight of what these men laid down their lives for. I only hope they can forgive us.

God bless the lazy yanks, who only came into the war when they got hurt by the Japanese. People Like Russian, Canadian, Polish, Australian, African, French, Chinese, Yugoslavs, Greeks, Serbian's, German Rebels and Indian troops all sacrificed lives, and actually helped the Allies when the war began, WWII 1939 - 1945 ^_^
Of course you neglect to mention that had Europe not appeased Hitler to the point of giving him a country (Czech) and then feigning outrage when he takes another with the help and compliance of those Russians you are so worried about. They did TAKE half of Poland you know. By force. Maybe you'd like to scratch them off your list now? We "lazy" yanks had no place in your war even after Pearl Harbor. We came to the aid of the Allies by our choice and gave fighting Japan second priority.
Sorry for the lateness of my reply and mayby i was too hasty for calling you "Lazy", but you have to admit that America could have contributed sooner to the war effort. If they had the European theatre of war may have ended a lot sooner than it did, and Nuclear force against Japan could have been averted, i can't stress "Could" enough here due to the time pearl harbour happened and the Americans wanting revenge. It's just that you have to give Credit where credit is due, and i apologise ^_^
Well thank you. Of course back in those days America was a very isolationist nation and wanted no involvement in the war. No American President could have done more than Roosevelt did given the mood of the people. They didnt even want him doing lend-leasing of military equipment to England. As far as the Japanese go, they got what they deserved. Years of torture, beheadings and other horrors inflicted on captured allied troops earned them a nuke..to say nothing of saving millions of lives.
it wasnt all america, i dont see films about british, canadisn, polish, norwegian, d-day landings, but i respect america and americas contrbution to the war,
I dont why everyone is saying "died" like it's over now. This is still going on today and sadly might be for a long time. Even though we want to bring our troops home and we've been told they will be home soon, we actually don't know whats gonna happen.
i salute to all that have died hapily in WWII and i see them as the saviors of our live, our country, our hapiness. i love this movie. great video. 5/5.
i cry often at these parts but i hold it back respectfully.
