Just listen to Taylor Swift. I love her music but she's not country sounding enough.

Don't forget about Dawn Sears ! She has been back up for him " on the road" , and I have compared the two ladies , they are both outstanding , but Patty was on most of the recording deals with Vince , and Dawn just never got the real deal that she deserved because of the politics in the so called "recording industry" !
