I love Kaji Meiko. She's beautiful, classy, elegant, enigmatic, charming and totally irresistible. Her classic action/drama movies are great, and her voice is like an angel. Yet, very little is known about her. Is she married, does she have any children or family? I read she does do some limited live music performances, but remains reclusive in her private life. Of course, she has the right to live however she desires.

The question is, why can't Japanese or any country's movie industry produce the very original, creative and the heart-felt movies similar to Kaji Meiko's Snowblood? With all the modern technology and special effect available, what heppened? Maybe someone has an explanation?
You are absolutely right. And that proves that all the money and special effects in the world cannot replace the original creativity and feeling that these movies had. On top of that I don't think that today they can find an actress as cool and beautiful as the original Meiko Kaji. Just one look of her eyes in Snowblood movie would be enough to make you shiver. Without any million dollars special effects of spectacular action scenes that we see now. Who is able of doing that today ?
