just the standard... but don't get it from an art store (like Utrecht) it's very low quality. The material is about the strength of a cardboard box. They are 4' by 8'.... and... Thanks!
Hey, I have a video everyone should watch.... Its me making a COFFE TABLE from only CARDBOARD AND DUCT TAPE. Its pretty cool. on my channel, check it out.
Hey! if you are an i.designer student, may i ask that you did 400mmx400x115 - 3brick(a thing which will fit into these dimensions and will carry 3 bricks over it) carry thing? Which is our next crazy project. :)
can you guys PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE give me the step by step or show a tutorial of how you guys did this because for my precalculas math class we have a project where we have to make a cardboard chair! SO PLEASEEE HELP ME OUT(:
This is a late response - but for anyone who needs help. Work in small scale. Use stiff paper, but work it until it is very flexible. Make the chair. Find the meaningful creases. And hold your breath!
The design is very durable and strong considering the nature and amount of material being used. Striving to make the most efficient use of any material is indeed a very sustainable idea.
Ok, Maybe you are right, using recycle, durable material is one component of sustainable design, But how can you be sure about the longevity of it? especially in commercial circumstance. Does it stand out with the original context as your notion? or how you measure its durability with diverse evironment of the users? I wasnt convinced by the fact that you just simply anounce 'it's sustainable' because of a material. Im afraid it's over using the term.
Making furniture from cardboard is cool ;0) but making it out of only two sheets of cardboard is so much cooler! ;0D Congrats!! We have made a cardboard furniture as well - but not with that kind of material reduction in mind... you're welcome to check out our ecochair ;0)
About four weeks. I did this during a six week summer program @RISD. Toward the end I had a design for desk and chair out of 1 sheet but it never got finished:(
