  • I tend to lean on my desk..Means that is nightmare for me =)..w8 shit

  • You should publish the instructions on Instructables . com

  • PLease make publish instructions! It's for a school work :D

  • PLease answe my messages :) !

  • Please post Instructions ! It's so amazing !!!!

  • Awesome!!! I just keep watching it again and again

Anyway, is it usable? I mean did you or anyone else really use it in real life?

  • brilliant

  • just the standard... but don't get it from an art store (like Utrecht) it's very low quality. The material is about the strength of a cardboard box. They are 4' by 8'.... and... Thanks!

  • That's really awesome!! :D

But what type of cardboard is that? i mean does it have a name (something special)? and where can i get that type of cardboard?

    :)

  • @TheGreyWolf01 just the standard... I got mine at my school store

  • @james1983id ok thanks! :)

  • @WpA09 huh?

  • @james1983id hahaha

  • i am doing something like this for class could you give me the instructions maybe?

  • PLEASEE give me the step by step or show a tutorial of how you guys did this! :)

  • This is awesome I totally want to try this. do you have an instruction video for this?

  • Hey! if you are an i.designer student, may i ask that you did 400mmx400x115 - 3brick(a thing which will fit into these dimensions and will carry 3 bricks over it) carry thing? Which is our next crazy project. :)

  • no I have not, sounds interesting though. Where are you studying?

  • Hehe, well project-concept was this week and my one did the job. :) In UTS,Sydney.U?

  • I'm at Rhode Island School of Design

  • can you guys PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE give me the step by step or show a tutorial of how you guys did this because for my precalculas math class we have a project where we have to make a cardboard chair! SO PLEASEEE HELP ME OUT(:

  • This is a late response - but for anyone who needs help. Work in small scale. Use stiff paper, but work it until it is very flexible. Make the chair. Find the meaningful creases. And hold your breath!

  • lol. I made one similar but my ••• broke it!

  • sustainable? just because used recycle cardboard? then, u better study on the subject much harder..

  • The design is very durable and strong considering the nature and amount of material being used. Striving to make the most efficient use of any material is indeed a very sustainable idea.

  • Ok, Maybe you are right, using recycle, durable material is one component of sustainable design, But how can you be sure about the longevity of it? especially in commercial circumstance. Does it stand out with the original context as your notion? or how you measure its durability with diverse evironment of the users? I wasnt convinced by the fact that you just simply anounce 'it's sustainable' because of a material. Im afraid it's over using the term.

  • really guy? ur complaining about a chair this guy made from cardboard that holds 200+ lbs. its pretty cool man

  • dude, sick awesome.

  • Muito Bom

  • It was so chair and desk!

  • that is sickkk love it

  • Making furniture from cardboard is cool ;0) but making it out of only two sheets of cardboard is so much cooler! ;0D Congrats!! We have made a cardboard furniture as well - but not with that kind of material reduction in mind... you're welcome to check out our ecochair ;0)

  • you really should promote awareness for this by bring it to thayer and sit and try to get people to donate for funding

  • that was tight

  • Thats awesome how you made that with no cuts, or glue or anything.

  • Not very comfortable. It could use a layer of carpet or something soft all over the cardboard :D

  • has a pillow on it now. Project required just cardboard.

  • impressive :) im goin to have my paper chair design project in this month.

  • How long did this design take you?

  • About four weeks. I did this during a six week summer program @RISD. Toward the end I had a design for desk and chair out of 1 sheet but it never got finished:(

  • is there any websites where we can find out how to create this design?

  • so a tutorial would be fantantis... yes, maybe?

  • my instructor would kill me. You should just get some cardboard and mess around! There are thousands of ways to do this!

  • how do you do this? Can you do another video slower? ive been trying but cant do it. But it looks so cool.

  • nice james!

  • thanks man, were you an ID major?

  • still am.
