when transfering save files be sure to choose

    1) EXPORT>BATTERY (SAVE AS FLASH!!!)

    2) RENAME .DAT flash TO .sav

    3) transfer to VAR>MOBILE>MEDIA>ROMs>GBA

using iPHONE_EXPLORER or WinSCP ect... (any that owrk for you really...)

  • Umm... One question. My save file is transferred ok, then when I open up gpSPhone and start playing Pokemon Emerald (I tap the ROM, not the svs/sav), it says "The save file has been erased due to corruption or damage." Sooo, what the heck? I've modded my pokemon with Enciclopedia Pokemon to give em the Moves&Hold Items that I want and it works perfectly on VBA. But with gpSPhone it wont work, it always deletes my save. Anyone have any advice?

  • do you know how to do this with psx?

  • find your VBA save file (sa1,sa2 file) rename this to .sav, use ssh to copy the file to your GBA folder where the roms are. Open the rom in gpsphone and it will read the file in the game. worked for me :D.

  • Hey mate, could you write the steps you take in order to make this work? I can't quite understand which programs you use and which steps you take because the camera is quite crappy. Nonetheless nice video! would be great if you could just write the steps down, thx!

  • @JKjoshy Are you fucking insane?

    1. Who cares if he's the ugliest guy in the world (you're not dude) he has a right to show his face on camera

    2. I agree that he should have used a program, and used photo booth for the off screen stuff

    3. What false content? You're transferring save files

    4. I'm sure you say umm on occasion, so what if he says it more than you

    5. You don't tell someone to get help when you only know them through a youtube video

  • @IMxAxGINGER You don't have a soul. Let the little 12 year olds have some fun flaming other people's videos.

  • i have the same problem as ssbsts1988, it just crashed after i move it. plz help

  • My iphone is jailbroken using jailbreakme, i have downloaded the latest gpSPhone, and Pokemon Platinum GBA version rom. I have visual boy advance, winSCP and can transfer files fine.

But visual boy advance saves in either sgm, or sav not svs that the gpSPhone needs, and just renaming the file type doesnt work, whenever the saves are loaded on gpSPhone the app just crashes. Any1 able to help me successfully get a svs save file onto my iphone, or can email me a working one ssbsts1988@hotmail.com

  • THANK YOUU HOLY SHIT I BEEN TRYING TO DO THISS ALL DAY IM SUBSCRIBING AGAIN THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • I have VBA as an .exe file and when I get the .svs and the .sav file from my iPod to my computer, it won't let me import battery what should I do?

  • wat about pc???

  • @the1music1of1sk8 fuck the PC!

  • Success! I had to change my save type under options > emulator > save type to flash and 64k, then save in-game.Next, I choose flash save instead of battery file from the drop-down when I exported my battery file, but after re-naming and copying both files to gpsphone via openssh, the save file was there for me to load! No starting Mother 3 over! THANK YOU!

  • @shugardos u explained it more than mr. retard penguin here... rockon

  • get ur finger outta yaw nose boy!

  • on my ipod it says the save file has been erased due to corruption or damage

  • The funny thing is, I can get my save file from my gpsphone to the computer and play it on an emulator there, but I can't do it the other way around. I did it in nosGBA since you can't save in VBA.

  • u rock it worked!!

    xD

  • How were you able to find the .SAV file of your game on the computer? I can't seem to find mine. Whenever I play on the emulator it just uses the .NDS file and it doesn't seem to even need a .SAV file but I would like to find mine so I can transfer my saved game to my M3 card. Looking forward to your advice soon!

  • @HeartsSpade

Lol your comment was a year ago, but if u still have that prob , it's because gpSphone is a Gameboy emulator and a .nds is a nintendo DS ROM, you get the sav by exporting the battery file and changing it from a .sgm to a .sav and .svs file.

    I THINK THO...

  • How do you access the save file on the NO$GBA?

I've been playing Pokemon Platinum and I've saved it on my emulator but it doesn't show a SAV file, only the NDS file. When I open the NDS file on my emulator it takes me back to where I saved but when I try to play the NDS file on my M3 card it doesn't recognize the save and tries to make a new SAV file.

I know this is long but I think you might know how to help me.

    -.-

(Bonus points if you can help me before the Darkrai event ends on 9/13/09!)

  • i'm trying to get save files from the gps to the vba how do u do that?

  • @BaseballGod31 openssh into your iphone/Ipod touch

and pick and drag the .gba file to your desktop.

open vba and drag and paste the .gba file into vba.

    voila! :D

  • nice discovery. i just used this to also transfer my gpsPhone save to my PC. It uses the in-game storage as a vector rather than the specific emulator save you are using, making it compatible with (assuming) all GBA Emulators. good work!

  • I tried the same thing...i was using vba...it didnt work....could you pm me with the emulator you are using?

  • how did u do that i cant get my comp emulator to read the sae off my ipod emulator

  • can you port gpsphone .sav for visualboy? (on mac)

  • i dont think so. i could try tho. check out my other channel where i have alot of iphone/ipod touch related stuff

    thepenguintutorials

  • that was supergpenguin on my other chanell

  • WTF!!!!!!!?????????
