Well Hobbs, There is definitely a big learning curve for pvp. Your gear ( resilience ) is gonna help you alot and by the time you have that gear I'm sure you'll have a better understanding of pvp. I look forward to that! I know you'll be amazing! Peace!

Wow... I guess you've really never pvped before, huh... And you click your abilities, that's bad. It seems obvious that you're not even noticing you're dying because you're trying to find where abilities are to click them. At one point you even spent 5 seconds trying to locate your hand of freedom... You need a lot of practice, but good luck. Bind your spells, practice awareness, you'll get there one day big guy.

Some very handy advice for you Hobbes, when you DO PvP, go into keybinds and change your targeting key to 'target next enemy player' so you won't inadvertently be hitting pets and totems and the like. To succeed as Prot in PvP, you're going to build a ret set and use prot abilities. Practice, keybind and tab target and you'll find you'll have far more success with it. /Gnomefist

you should use battleground targets addon so you can see how many healers they have etc, Healers must die is a good addon as well tells whos healing friendly or foe so you can switch in case a spriest switches up or something of that nature. I also recommend saysapped..it automatically does /say sapped so people around you know youve been sapped.

hobbs if you want to hit very hard as a prot pally (this doesent need any glyphs) get 3 holy power use wings and if you have one cast golemblood potion then shield of rightousness. ive been hitting 40ks in pve gear and in pvp ive been hitting 70k+

Never go mid to fight in these, you're better off waiting in flag room and letting them come to you. Otherwise you end up with 3 groups, Flag group, retrieval group and OMG HORDE group. Prot or not, you're going to melt with no resil.

@etapi65 as you're coming up on casters (like the mage somewhere abouts 8 mins) you should be using avenger's shield for silence, stunning as you go by, holy wrath as you pass the water elemental. any ccs you have as prot. Prot doesn't have the burst in PvP it should, but the utility is great, have to adjust your PvE mentality.
