ya know, I've been on the road now for about 15yrs, and I have to say, in the early days of my career, I use to get violently upset, screamin', cussin, at the way 4-wheelers use to drive around me...I hated being a trucker! Been in and out of truckin' a few times, but this last time in, for some strange reason, I just love my job! maybe its my boss, maybe it's just accepting the ups and downs of it, but I love this job...any job can be stressful, and you'd hate it, but now I love it!
oh yeah...kidman, another good thing about driving big 18 wheelers is you get to sample delisious foods from all over the country! And also the scenery of the country is always something to remember that brings back memories. I think trucking is a good thing any way you look at it. LOL!
I(ts all about image, respect and maturing out here!! I been driving 17 yrs now...The key to success out here is to choose good loads, dont be a super trucker and be relaxed...thats it..I hear guys complain all the time bout rates, money, miles etc...If you are smart out here you'll make good money!! I drive a 79' harvester cabover pullin a 42' flatbed and I dont have the flahy new truck but its about being financially wise out here!! WORK SMART NOT HARD!!You'll be just fine!!
Whoops hit spam.. lmao.. But my favorite truck is Kenworth W900L and Frieghtliner Classix XL Raised Roof is my 2nd fav and Peter 379 is my 3rd favorite!
Hey! you're in here even as I speak, cool! I like Kenworths and the Pete 379's. This is the quickest reply that I've ever experienced in Youtube! Today I'm buying a brand new camcorder, and I'm heading out to truck stops to film Pete's and other muscle trucks. I used an ole digital cam in video mode to upload truck movies in the past, NOT GOOD. Now I'll upload better movies! Okay Eaglerunner, "keep the shiney side up, and the something, something other side down". LOL!
Breaker, breaker 08... do you "really" love your Kenworth or are you justkiddin? LOL, I'm justkidding Mr. justkiddin. Hey, here's an idea...would you consider sending me a photo of your K.W. so I could post it on my blog for other truckers to appreciate? (spinners, awesome dude)
my uncle has been driving big riggs since 1949, but he's just recently retired. He said that if he had it to do all over again, those truck owners could take them trucks and shove them up their... "Hey watch your mouth!" LoL!
Yeah man, I love them freightshakers, they are real trucks as far as I'm concerned. But i guess peterbilts and kenworths are good trucks too... but i just love them freightliners for some unknown reason.
I understand dimler chrysler took control of the company. hummm. What kind of trucks do your dad fancy?
he he lol good old cb'in ill never let those things leave me ive had one in every vehicle ive ever driven lol i even put one in my dads truck for when i use his truck lol
I didn't see anyone reply to this Question and if i missed it Whoops? And i know it's a late responce, But yes it is true they call Frieghtliners "Frieghtshakers"
Good day Eaglerunner01, there's nothing wrong with a "late" response. But thanks for confirming this fact about "freightshakers". What is your favorite truck Eaglerunner? Peterbilt? Kenworth? Western Star? Mack? Freightliner? Volvo?
Freightbreakers?! LOL! You just may be right kidman. My uncle invited me on a short road trip some years ago in his ole "Freightshaker" pulling a 53 foot trailer full of Tropicanna orange juice in those half gallon glass juggs. We drove from sunset to sun-up the next morning, and when we swung the trailer doors open at the loading dock at the dairy,Orange juice poured out like Niagra Falls! We got soaking wet! It turns out that the "newbie" forklift guy back in N.J. didn't secure the load right.
o i know im right, used to run w. my uncle and cousin and after about 30,000 dollars of useless material was delivered they decided to trade in there breakers and go for pete 379 ext hood best damn trucks ever
Everybody likes those 379 petes. Where did yall run across country or up and down the coast? Yeah, petes don't just look good, but they run good, and the name even sounds good. Are they all built with caterpillar engines or do some petes come with detroit diesels? Hey kidman, don't forget to treat your uncle and cousin to a nice steak dinner this coming Sept.~August 2008, "Trucker appreciation Week" because "if we got it, a trucker brought it". LOL! That's how I say thanks to my trucker uncle.
hell those petes run smoother than a newborn babys bottom haha, some lower cheaper stlyes come w. detroit id say bout 90% of them petes run cats, we ran cross country to mexico and canada, ive been to all 48 continental states and some haha, hell i buy them the best steak a trucker could haul everytime im around tennessee, ill be headin down in a few weeks to start my cdl training, already got my pete ready to go at my uncles, pretty good truck, what weeks is trucker appreciation????????
yea i love petes had a cummins in my when i got it ran 2 trips it blow up so i had a cat put in it running good till this day it hit 400,000 miles last week comeing home gotta love cats i like cummins my dad has one never had any thing go bad yet but cummins siad there was a defect in the motor so i won that one
It doesn't matter what it is we enjoy from day to day, the fact remains, "if you got it...a trucker brought it". So why don't we all show a little more respect to them this summer when we're changing lanes and talking on mobile phones while driving... after all, without truckers - society would come to a stand still. So move over when you see them in your mirrors and let them make their deliveries. Thank you consumers, LOL.
uhh i hope people listen most people think we are just trians on highways and think our only intention is to slow them up i hate it when i see a fancy bmw swingin in and out behind my trialor the he floors it and goes past me the relizes on coming traffic and cuts infront with about 2 feet and slamms the brakes on uhh i hate it then you get those mbile phone peoiple not paying attention
