  • Jim Helwig, aka The Ultimate Warrior, was a male escort for old, rich, gay men in his younger days....and that's a FACT!

  • @yimpka2 No

  • it looks like some truck driver that caught this dude, feeling up his daughter!

  • Warrior was HUGE here!

  • That fat motherf----- can fight!

  • He said put" them steroids in that booty"?

  • We commin' fo' you, Hickerson!

  • What year was this? I remember Sting and Warrior debuting in Mid South as "The Bladerunners" in what-early '86?

  • Holy shit Warrio must have been juicing up on roids since he was little damn look at those arms

  • Man is this early in their career. Phil really went off on both of them especially about steroids. Wow!

  • Man is this early in their career.

  • warrior got whooped!

  • steroids made warrior a millionare....enough said

  • fat boy phil hickerson was right. he is as at least better than the ultimate douche bag ever was.

  • Warrior is always the big guy of the Blade Runners. You can now see what Sting was talking about when he said that Warrior was like a bus compared to him. This Sting and Warrior at their biggest.

  • wow, what year is this?!

That makes a lot of sense that sting and UW wrestled together in the early days. Their eventual ring personas were very similar.

I was a little shocked at that Steroids accusation, though. Im sure its totally true.

  • Warrior looks much bigger than Sting in this video.

  • Sting looks pregnant O_O

  • wow, warriors arms were HUGE! what happened to them? they were never that big in the WWF or WCW.

  • @theMadH8r He lost a little weight so he could put more time into his wrestling career i think, i'e more speed in the ring & so on

  • Is that Boomhauer from "King of the Hill" confronting them? He sure talks like him! :)

  • The blade runners rock & sting would go on to be world champions carry two compaines and be hall of fame legends on tag team in history to have equal talent and do this! in all tag teams one is better than the ohter! wrestling lesson no.4!

  • I can wassel lol said the fat guy

  • Watching Warrior sell to a middle aged fat guy might be the silliest thing I've ever seen in wrestling before.

  • WTF, Sting?

  • Ultimate Warrior does not even look human, my goodness, lawls!

  • He slim down during his wcw days

  • Wow this fat guy is killing me softly lol

    Warrior is huge af

    Sting omg is huge also.....wow

  • Nobody wants to watch someone like that fat Phil Hickerson wrestle. We all have a redneck uncle who looks like him.

  • Warrior must have been 285 here. Maybe even bigger. Look at his friggin arms and shoulders.

  • "YOU DONT KNOW HOW TO RASSLE....!"

  • I don't understand why anybody would want to like that, and by the way look how tiny his head looks on that huge upper body, I mean he looks ridiculous

  • @theaterattendee because it's HUGE

  • @TheNewMusicNetwork whats huge

  • Man, Jim's upper body was massive here.

  • look at the fucking arms on warrior.,makes hogan look like a fat bloated piece of trash

  • What year was this? Warrior is huge.

  • I like what Lex Luger once said...."A good BIG man will always beat a good little man."

  • wow Ultimate W. might have started that muscle vs Wrestler thing that took over along time ago and change wrestling and made it worse a lil bit

  • @Mrwilswift No, he didn't start it. He's riding the wave that's already established. Hogan & then the Road Warriors are probably the ones most responsible for that. Roadies (& the Eddie Sharkey Roided Bouncers Crew) were the ones that got pushed to the moon immediately because of their looks. Hogan got pushed hard pretty quickly and his success in the early 80s probably contributed to that phenomenon a good bit. Not that there was a lot of steroids in wrestling by the late 70s at least.

  • My mom use to babysit phil hickerson's kids. Off topic but true.

  • sting looks pregnant

  • That Ole' Phil was my man!!! He was a true scrapper and rassler...

  • wow, that fat dude was straight up SHOOTING on the Warrior. And wow was Warrior ever massive here, way bigger than when he went to WWF.

  • That fat guy said @1:23 that the only their good at is taking steroids.

  • @TheMotleyFuckingCrue I think the full quote is "the only thing y'all know how to do is pull them breeches down and stick them steroids in your booty!" LMFAO!

  • this is classic pur pro wrestling i miss these days!! but damn warrior was bigger than hogan rin that interview!

  • Warrior did all the talking when he and Sting were tag team.

  • how much did warrior weigh here he is just so fucking huge, and please none of that fan boy he was 325 lbs crap!

  • @witchdoctor216 warrior was at his biggest here at 285 with a solid 22inch bicep for comparison he was about 270 at wrestlemania 6 260 at wrestlemania 7 and 230 at wrestlemania 8

  • only in memphis could you have two unscheduled guys get into the ring, and the ref starts a match Card, what Card?

  • Boy did Jim show this fat dude up.. "You'll be wrestling in the first or second matches for the rest of your life"

  • Kinda wierd to men full of steriods can talk normal :P

I have alot of pity to Lance Russell has to interview these men became a nothing to me :D

    CWA Rulz!!

  • LOL nothing quite like putting the boss over

  • Sad Sting and Warrior had to make that fat man look good...

  • ROIDS!!!!

  • this is ironic, both these men went into two of the biggest businesses, made a big name for themselves, feueded with the best and won the big gold in the same year!!!

  • Warrior looks bigger than when he juiced up later on

  • @genericgeorge Juiced up later on? He's full of the stuff at this point aswell, same goes for sting for that matter, but for some reason, people only throw the "Steroid" accusation at guys who look freakish with vascularity to the max. Scott Steiner, for example, people make a lot of his freakish looking physique from 98-onwards, when the truth is that the only pics of Steiner drug-free are probably ones of him and Rick exchanging headlocks on their bunkbeds when they were kids.

  • Steroids.

  • wat yr was this??

  • Even back then..Try as each of them &/or they might've...Warrior(Jim) & Sting (Steve) just couldn't really pull-off the "Obnoxious Heel" roles...At least Sting (Steve) couldn't...Which is why Sting/Steve's heel turns just don't sell/last long...Probably imho,at least...

  • @jerzeefranky3475 well that and the fact that people dont want to dislike him.

  • looks 2 action figures

  • Kewl seeing Sting jacked up...

  • i've never seen this before, thanks for posting, @warriorcentraldotcom!

  • cant believe this guys went on to become legends and icons

  • Stings the only one not on steriods

  • @scottyreckless Sting was roided up too ..you have to be blind not to notice

  • @Deeky74 you have to be unintelligent to think you can know for sure by looking at a guy

  • @poethepoetspoet Well for 1...Ive seen them both in different shoot interviews where they openly admit to it ... & 2..you must be a total retard if YOU can't tell from whats natural & whats not!

  • Hickerson looks like a champion athlete...and by that I mean...a bowler.

  • @kaizenro He reminds me of the Iron Sheik, i.e. getting in the Warrior's face and running his mouth.

  • The chubby is a real wrassler!

  • lmao classic! my two favorite wrestlers

  • uw is a big mother fucker there

  • The fat fucker looks like Earthquake

  • Hey Sting...whats with the gut???

  • looks like Warrior and Sting had A LOT of history together when they were just young kids in their twenties, from Powerteam USA to the Blade Runners and then on to the FREEDOM FIGHTERS?????

  • @tmbttes Watch the Warrior shoot interviews he said about powerteam usa was just a name on a piece of paper & it wasn't going any further than that.

  • sting looks puffy

  • Warrior is my hero !!! he is the best wrestler ion the world !!!!

  • Sting looks like a little kid next to warrior.

  • @scottyreckless Sting is far from little in this vid. in fact he's only slightly smaller here.

  • Is that really the Warrior? He looks WAY bigger than he ever was in WWF there.

  • @theraptorfan100 thats him! probarly a legit 285 pounder... slimmed down to around 250-260 during wwf days

  • Oh, I remember this, circa 1985 during 'Championship Wrestling' on WAVE 3 TV on Saturday @ 12p. This is when the game started to change. lol

  • 80's roids were ridiculous looking now that you look back at it...especially for Helwig and Borden.

  • phil hickerson=boss

  • Also what has warrior done outside of wrestling?

  • Warrior is green as grass here! Should of quit back then and saved everyone a bunch of trouble....

  • Ironic how they became world champions around the same time in different promotions! WWF/WCW

  • It's a shame that Warrior couldn't really wrestle, or talk for that matter. I really think he could have been Hogan big. His character, and physique was always even better than Stings... and Sting is one of my top 5 ALL TIME (I'm from Nebraska so I'm biased lol).

  • @KingstonHawke Uh are you high? Warrior was and is Hogan big. When people talk about wrestling back in the late 80s early 90s the people that come to mind are Hogan, Macho Man, and Ultimate Warrior...those are the top 3 that people who dont even watch wrestling know about.

  • @King2123 Difference is Hogan is still somewhat a name, The ultimate warrior is known as 'wasn't he that wrestler in the 90's '

To people outside of wrestling only the Rock is Hogan Big

  • @terryfink No Hogan isnt a name. The only reason Hogan is still a name in wrestling is because he could never get out of it because his ego is way too huge. Im not saying the Ultimate Warrior doesnt have ego issues but people who dont watch wrestling still know who the Ultimate Warrior is even if they say isnt he that wrestler from the 90s? People still say that about Hogan, they say isnt he that wrestler from the 80s and 90s? Hogan isnt a big name wrestler anymore, he cant wrestle.

  • @King2123 Everyone knows Hogan even now, I bet other than hardcore fans no one could pick Warrior out of a line up. Hogan is one of the most recognisable people ever let alone in wrestling.

    He is Mr wrestling.

Austin may have made more money, the Rock has made it on his own but Hogan is still the one people would recognise either by name or by face.

Warrior isn't even in the top 5.

  • @KingstonHawke You may want to check out some of his later WCCW matches/promos prior to/after his face turn. There are some some on youtube. Even his matches as Bladerunner Rock aren't bad. His moveset wasn't consistent enough once he went to the wwf. He should've combined more elements from those gimmicks into his later character/gimmick. If I come across any from elsewhere, I'll post them myself. Watch his promos against Goldust, Sid, NWE, Undertaker (PTW), even the one w/ Red River Jack.

  • hell .luk at these steriod monsters .if only they were as powerful as they appear.warriors the bigest dickhead that got around .

  • @bretrulz What made him a dickhead exactly?

  • I love how big Mr. Warrior is here. Size does matter. SWING!!!

  • @MrHomosforHellwig You got that right!

  • Phil HIckerson? More like Phil Margera.

  • Ole' Phil, he may look like he got his weight training at White Castle but he knew how to fight

  • looks like my tape trading from the 90's got around i have the original along with 6 hours of addtional programing from mempis this is just a taste of what all on the tape

  • I wonder if this was unscripted the way he tore into them about steriods and so on. Also, both me, at some point in their careers were the biggest stars of their promotions so eff you Phil Hickerson. That's what you got your ass kicked lmao

  • Sting was big as crap back then

  • wow warrior had to been on roids.and all his life in gym.it dont matter he still sucked

  • Kinda strange to hear Ultimate Warrior talk like a normal person.

  • @chickenlil180 In his promos, Ultimate Warrior talked like a normal person too. It's just that that normal person was Adam Sandler.

  • @Oscy I guess that all depends on your definition of normal.

  • @chickenlil180 JINX!

  • @Oscy Adam Sandler from Little Nicky. LOL

  • What year was this?

  • @RichKnight2010 This is late 1985.

  • Rare footage of Sting & the Ultimate Warrior together during their brief time together as a tag team.

Hellwig almost comes off as to soft spoken to be a heel.

  • Wow Warrior was enormous o.o

  • They were both bigger back then.

  • They don't know how to RASSLE?

  • Hickerson wasn't acting in that promo....he was serious.....he was really offended

  • sting looked small til the camera changed angles haha

  • I remember seeing this for the first time and knew these guys were going to one day be huge stars.

Lots of people came through Memphis and went on to huge fortunes and others who should have been stars got no pushes when they deserved it.

But I knew these guys had the 'it' factor.

  • WCW really dropped the ball with Warrior in 1998. I feel like instead of just throwing him in the mix with Hogan, he should have teamed up with Sting...leading to the two of them having a face v.s. face feud. I know it's easy for us as fans to say, "This would have worked better", but I really feel this angle would have been MUCH more entertaining and successful than the angle Warrior had with Hogan.

  • @nWo24life Actually he and Sting teamed one time on Nitro but Hogan just wanted him in the company so he could massage his ego by getting a victory over him. Even if they would have kept him around they would have screwed it up like they did with Bret Hart.

  • damn that a wild and rude promo, early hardcore shit

  • WTFFF

  • dam warrior was huge!

  • @weedfan

Yeah he sure was but my guess is that the steroid he took when he switched over to the WWF caused him to shrink a lil bit.

  • @KRRYDER Different types of steriods do different things to a person. Here Warrior was all swelled up with water weight. It's funny what 20 lbs or so of water weight will do as far as how big a body builder looks. He looked much better in his wwf days.

  • @returnofplex

You're right cuz although he was huge back then he wasnt really cut defined. He was very bloated

  • @returnofplex I thought he looked much better here. In his WWF days, he was nothing without the big veins.

  • fucking lord Warrior was the biggest right here hell he didn't even look this big in WWF

  • Damn, Warrior was an animal.

  • what was that he said about roids?

  • @p20 "all you know is how to pull them britches down and put them steroids in your booty" Phil to Warrior

  • hickerson was whipping the ultimate warrior's butt

  • Phil: You can't wrestle, you're both green. Yeah, that's why those two would beat Hogan years later. You haven't even met Hogan.

  • i dont think sting roided but the warrior is just toooo big here. its kind of ridiculous.

  • Damn! Look at the size of the Warrior!

  • WOW! they should have been called hi-c and capri sun because they are JUICED!

  • Wow! This is great footage! And I particularly like Hickerson's steroid reference! There is no way this would be allowed on WWE TV today!

  • 0:40 is it just me or does Sting have a gut? The 1:23 steroid ref is nice too.

  • and to think in 90 they were both world champs of the two major organizations and they will forever be linked in history....

  • @lockenjr Not to mention they both beat the two top guys in the biz (Hulk Hogan & Ric Flair) for the belts. It was supposed to be the passing of the torch so to say. Unfortunatley for them a year later Hogan and Flair were the champs again.

  • @landinmycourt just like billy jack haynes and kerry von erich suppose to take flairs nwa torch never happened well for six days it did for kerry. But I can tell you that living in oregon as big as billy was the nwa would have had their equal to hogan in the mid 80's had they put the backing behind the legend from portland oregon billy jack haynes...

  • @lockenjr I've always said that if Kerry would have had his head on straight he had the potential to be on the same level as Hogan. As for BJH I've heard him say that he was supposed to get a big main event push when he first came to the WWF in late '84 but he and McMahon had a falling out. Then when he came again in late '86 he was religated to the mid-card. Although he did team with Hogan one time to take on The Hart Foundation.

  • they should have pulled phils drawers down and humbled him if you petalpumpes know what I mean. lol

  • two first ballot hallofamers here. for sure...

  • For being so "big", why didn't the warrior gorilla press that guy? Was he too heavy for all those big steroided muscles of his?

  • Wow, REALLY early stuff here...late '85 I guess, just a few months into the career of both guys.

  • Borden and Hellwig are so awkward with their 'roid bodies. Hellwig falls like a tree, and Borden punches like a girl. Their muscles are in the way.

  • Skinner scared off the Warrior and Sting haha

  • fuck you haters. be jacked or die

  • you're retarded

  • @j5muscle LOL Yeah, or Get jacked & die moron.

  • @j5muscle haha, lol, nice dude, I agree, why complain about Warrior getting jacked up, he is the one accepting the risks, hair loss and impotency

  • Phil hickerson's future telling ablity is beyond compare. They did spend the rest of their carreer at the bottom of the card..

  • STERIODS!

  • Sting and The Warrior cant handle the Hickerson!!!!

  • Warrior has a tiny head

  • Normal sized head... just a friggin HUGE roided up body. His muscles were INSANE here.

  • That's warrior. He's friggin huge

  • "Pull yer britches down, an' stick steroids in ya booty!" Now there's a classic line!

  • Wrestling in Memphis was so great. I mean to make a storyline credible enough to want to see and old veteran take on a green muscle guy. The fans were so into it too...You gotta love it. The truth is the Warrior and Sting, ( now my all time favorite wrestler), needed a Phil Hickerson to show them how to WORK!

  • to me this is funny most wrestlers know each other, but what i wanna know how did they make the choice between wcw and wwf because in 88 when i was 4 i wanted sting and ultimate warrior to fight hulk hogan and macho man but my dad just always told me they were in two different companies

  • If you get offered a job at a giant corporation that is in your line of work, you'd probably take it, whether it was wwf or wcw, it doesn't matter.

  • @killaboscoville they trained together & debuted as a team in Memphis in late 85 (this is just a few weeks into their careers). Then went to Bill Watts' Mid-South/UWF. Around June 86, Warrior (known as "Rock") went to World Class in Dallas because he & Watts didn't get along. There he became the Dingo Warrior. Sting stayed in UWF then wound up in NWA/WCW after they bought out UWF in 87. By early 88 Sting was one of NWA/WCW's top stars. Warrior eventually left World Class for WWF.

  • Stinger4lyfe.. You know absolute nothing, Vince never created the Warrior .he was the Dingo Warrior in WCCW way b4 the WWF & thats where Jim Hellwig was building up his charecter & like every other wrestler has said in the past.. if ur not in the business to make as much money as you can then your a mark.

  • The Anabolic Warrior!

  • THIS IS CLASSIC !

  • steroids in the booty

  • He was right on the money with the steroid comment. I'd never seen Helwig/Warrior so big.

  • thats funny you dont know how to wrassle you dont scare me one bit because i know how to wrassle this is classic

  • its wrestling not a body building contest. Steroids at work LOL

  • Warrior sounded so normal....lol that was before WWE & VInce McMahon had gotten a hold of him.

Got his money i guess, just ironic. They created him the way he was and pumped him full of drugs, but the second it went wrong this disowned and clowned what they had created...

Twisted as hell, lol but i guess Vince has done alot worse with others.

  • look at himm here hes juiced to the gills you cant blame that on vince

  • @Stinger4Lyfe Created? LOL First of all, he's far more pumped with drugs here than he was at any later point in his career (at least with steroids).

Second, Vince did not "create" the Warrior. He pushed him to the moon and made a big star of him, but the "Warrior" chararcter was created in World Class. He advanced it in WWF, but most of that was his (Hellwig's) own doing.

  • FUckme STing was huge back then!

  • damn jim hellwig aka the ultimate warrior look huge

  • Warrior look like the michellin man
