  • Beautiful- very inspirational:) -3

  • Where did they find .6 tenths?!?!

  • @21najafast actually i just downloaded the 2009-2012 COP and It has it as the Liukin...if you look at the back under named skills there...they mispelled her name, but its in there

  • lol that lady is like wow she is good..man did u fucking see that she is shit what the fuck...amazing! she is soo good....what the hell she sucks..shes like saying good things and bad things..let her perform!

  • she did a switch reverse leap..wow

  • wow NASTIA LIUKIN is the best

  • "not committed enough"??? (on the switch ring leap) HER BACK FOOT WENT OVER HER FACE.

  • lmao seriously

  • haha yea I'm not sure what the lady was thinking when she said that, but the commentator did take back that comment when they watched that element again on the replay.

  • all they seem to do in the olympics is deduct and if theres nothing to deduct they make the tinyest toe wiggle a deduction its perposterous

  • I think you are somehow right. I mean just watch Nastia's AA vault. Her B-Score was 9.525 and I don't know where they deducted. I think it's very often the personal opinion of the judge and wether he or she likes the jump or not. maybe they are not always objective but overall they aren't that bad:)

  • I just read the 2009-2012 Code of Points and it is called the Liukin

  • really? when I read it it was not called the liukin. but that was a while ago. maybe they changed it...

  • @21najafast It was the Liukin in the old code of points, it was removed from the 2009-2012

  • @xwhaddafxckup It's not called the Liukin, They determined that it's actually TWO elements: Aerial walk over AND balance on one leg with free leg extended horizontally.

  • she didn't wobble at all in that handstand...I think she was just trying to come down quickly and get the routine going..so she could pack everything in before going overtime (in one of the routines she did in podium training, she was overtime by several seconds) I think she was just trying to be cautious here.

  • yes i completely agree. there was no wobble. so many times the British commentators just say completely wrong information like they are on crack. They are so out of touch with reality and it does make them sound dumb. perhaps thats why Great Britain has never had any notable gymnasts until Beth Tweddle, LOL. (And even Beth is only really great on bars)

  • The commentator was "trying" to add a little drama to her routine. But, no, it really didn't work because Nastia's supposed to do that. She's not an NBC commentator- those are my favourites because of how dramatic and fun they are :D

  • but in gymnastics you have to be so precise

and they will deduct point for the slightest errors!

  • She even said, "not enough to be deducted for", I mean, you might aswell not say it if there's no deduction.

  • true true but still some judges will take stuff a tenth off for a minimal thing

  • I totally agree. And as Nastia's routine was perfect all the way through, I imagine the judges smiled with happiness when she didn't connect the onodi + wolf full. I mean, it is the Olympics, but Nastia gave away slight deductions- can still cost her the gold though.

  • Yup. Expecially on Beam because that's Shawn Johnson's strongest event

  • i know. and she always does that little, i guess you could call it, snap at the top of the handstand

  • Yeh :) It just finishes off the skill :)

  • To call them dumb is a bit presumptuous
