That's the way the cookie crumbles. Almost everyone one who is a Vols fan and is watching this vid knows they lost a special coach and knows that it's not gonna be the same without him. At the end of the day it's still your school and win or lose u have to support them. As a student at UT in the 70's, we would not walk across the street to Stokley to see Ray Mears EAT a basketball. Not since the days of Ernie and Bernie have we had anything to be proud of as far as the men's program. Bruce was our salvation and a person we all felt passionate about. It's not Hamilton we should be blame. It's the NCAA and some of their stupid restrictions on recruiting. They should spend their time and resources training refs instead of over-scrutinizing

the coaching staffs.

Here in Iowa City I always wore Tennessee basketball t-shirts the day they hired Bruce Pearl! If Iowa had any brains they would have hired Coach Pearl10 years ago, maybe this time Iowa will have some brains and hire him a year or 2 down the road bu i I doubt it.

I'll never forget that miserable 05 football season where we were ranked #3 in the preseason polls and ended up having our first losing season in the almost 20 years. That was really disappointing and hurt a lot, but my pain was alleviated when I turned on a Tennessee men's basketball game and saw us curbstomping Texas. I couldn't believe we were beating such a highly ranked team! That was just the beginning of a short but unforgettable ride for Vols basketball. I will never forget these years!
