Just seen them about a week ago. Small venue and personal got to meet each member of the band. Great bunch of guys very down to earth. Darroh is nothing like I ever would have imagined him from listening to their albums. All I gotta say is complete Badass
The thing I like about FTM is they have a few songs that are easy to understand to get you hooked, then you start listening to their other stuff that you have to listen to a few times to understand. It draws you in lol.
@orphaeus99 ....I guess I can say I understand where your coming from.....well not really, no....ther's nothing ever "poppy" about Fair to Midland good sir.
....I realize that your intentions were meant well, but you must admit that you stand corrected.
I love FTM! There isn't any good music out there, anyone have any suggestions? If you could be so kind as to point me in the right direction i'd be happy to return the favor. Thanks.
There is so much in the song (One lyric in the video is incorrect by the way..."easier than growing the rose" not row. If you listen you can hear the "s"!) that points to abortion. Planting the seed is easier than growing the rose, so then the pair proceeded--another pulse defeated...A pair strikes crude oil but I see pyrite(fool's gold--the speaker possibly knows the child is not meant to be) It is such an interesting song
@aptera13 yes they do, it's just difficult to analyse hahah. some pretty interesting theories in the comments section of this song's lyrics page on the site songmeanings :)
@NodRodge I'll get hell from a lot of the hardcore FTMers for this, but I agree with you. It's not that I don't like the original versions (in fact, I love them), but I just like the extra polish these songs had on them a little more.
@orphaeus99 i like the original version more because he goes low on the mechanical in the chorus. if he did that on this recording, it would be epic(er)
@orphaeus99 Probably because his voice is disgustingly shaky and unkempt in the IFS version of this song and it just sounds awkward as fuck. Walls of Jericho is far superior on IFS compared to FFaM, however Kyla is much better when revised.
Chills. Holy shit.
