Just because something is a story doesn't mean it's not true, this is not inherent in the word you use to so easily dismiss the Holy Book. You weren't there either, so you cannot tell if the accounts are "true" by your logic, either. There is lots of external evidence as to the existence of Jesus, like Josephus, for example, who also wrote of John the Baptist, and he was there.

But, the Bible makes it clear that there is only one passage into Heaven, it is not Siddhartha, nor is it Muhammad, nor is it any other religious figure. Christ is the only one who can redeem a person out of original sin. The Buddha claims meditation can rid of of evil "karma" as he called it, but this is not forgiveness for sin, which is found only in the blood of Christ.

I can tell you that Jesus told the parable of the talents (Mat 25:14) of the Master who gave each of his servants talents and those who used their talents to multiply them and gain more for their Master were held in great esteem, but the servant who buried his talent was cast into the "outer darkness where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth." We all have purpose, it is our choice to fulfill God's will.
