Do you think it might be a ploy by the Conservatives to force the Lib Dems to go along with their evil plans, so that nobody takes the Lib Dems seriously again? After all, the Lib Dems were taking many seats from the Conservatives with their constitution of a fair socety with no poverty, so the Conservatives would want to stop them.
@kinesas101 I'm guessing you're one of those thick idiots who think that Nick 'sold out'?
Let's ignore the fact that the Tories got the most votes and it was the right decision to go with what the votes reflected. Instead I'll focus on the fact that you must have voted for the Lib Dems, therefore you must have agreed with their policies. Therefore, with Lib Dem policies in government WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU COMPLAINING ABOUT!?
@MRaverz The part you don't seem to get is that LibDem policies prior to the election were closer to Labour's than to the Tory's! The British people did not vote for Tory policies! The LibDems have betrayed their supporters to get power.
@newagemisfit You're under a delusion here, the only reason a coalition could've been formed if there was agreement between the Tories and the Liberal Democrats. And some policies did agree.
Labour on the other hand, was not up for co-operation AND it would've results in a fragmented Rainbow Coalition.
Plus, most votes were for the Tories. Lib Dems would've got more if it wasn't for tactical voting.
@MRaverz Again you don't appear to be able to understand, so I'll try to make it simple.
The LibDems campaigned on policies that were closer to those of Labour and many people that voted LibDem did not want the Tory policies that the LibDems are now facilitating. The evidence for this is the big drop in LibDem support. Get it now?
@newagemisfit Arrogance should be reserved for people who are actually making a decent point.
Yours is vacuous and based on quite a few assumptions. Once again, because 'you don't appear to be able to understand I'll try and make it simple'. Lib Dem Coalition with the Tories happened because they found that they agreed on many areas. Most votes went to Tories, most votes lost went to Labour.
Therefore, people who voted for the Lib Dems not Labour, should be happy for these policies.
@newagemisfit Those who voted Lib Dems and are displeased that there are Tory policies in place, should remember two things. THIS IS A COALITION - Lib Dems get some say, Tories get some too. THIS IS A DEMOCRACY - most votes went to the Tories therefore they have the right to have their policies in place.
Disagreeing here would be disagreeing with democracy.
It doesn't make a difference who you vote for. The EU make most of our laws and immigration will continue for another sixty years until you are all a minority in a brown country. And as we already know, to protest about it makes you an instant nazi. Who could have predicted that after we defeated the Nazis (and their muslim allies from Albania, Bosnia and Turkey) that a few decades later we would be getting called nazis because we didn't want our own country taken from us by uninvited 'guests'.
If you ask me mr clegg u sold us all BS with your election...I cant Believe your going to be Camerons poodle I will never VOTE LIB DEM AGAIN... You made out to us all you was diffrent...YOUR just like the rest...!!!!! BS!!!!!
i'm leaning towards lib dem. it seems sensible to split the banking sector. if banks wanna be risky with money let them do it with their own and we'll keep our nations money seperate. a review of the nuclear deterent also sounds pretty sensible to me. simplification of the tax system and an additional 10% on the banking sector sounds fair. not totally convinced on the amnesty but of the 3 parties i like more of their policies.
lib dem sound nice i practice, but an immigration amnesty? Are you guys fucking stupid. Do you not listen to public concerns. You're still a joke party. You have not fooled me!
@bellagiofalls i totally get what ur saying but i can sort of see the point of the amnesty as well. think about those people are already here, most likely working and not paying taxes. not integrating not in schools learning english and sending money home out of uk. they're able to commit crimes and be totally unaccountable. atleast they hav a policy labour and the tories are just ignoring it or conning us. cameron cant do jack about immigration coz we're in the eu u cant cap anythin
Look at Richard Younger-Ross, John Barrett, Sandra Gidley and Paul Holmes. Had to repay £16,500 in expenses falsely claimed. Took cash from their landlord in return for higher rent.
They kept the cash but guess who paid the higher rent? Yes, you guessed right - we, the tax payers did.
All Liberal MPs. All still standing for election. So much for Clegg 'cleaning up' politics.
BNP cant say many racist things now because it is illeagle but when there in power they will do many horrible tihngs!! IT wil be the 1950s again!!! VOTE LIB DEM, :)
I agree. The trouble is the Lib Dems saw Cameron and thought oh we need one of those, and hey presto we have Nick(charisma bypass)Clegg. I suspect that Lib Dems could take a hammering at the next election, then Charles Kennedy could make a comeback.
nick clegg is way too much like cameron for my liking. He tried to take the high ground when it came to expenses by slagging off the speaker, when his own expenses were more than questionable. He gos on about fighting for the common man but he himself is just another posh kid brought up by Russian aristocracy went to the best fee-paying school in the land. He won't win, all he can do is hurt Labour. And Brown won't win purely because he is SCOTTISH and not a spin expert. BRING BACK ASDOWN!
nahh mate..I'm NO FAN of gordy brown, however, I'm pretty sure he did not construct the collapse of lehman bros, and the financial meltdown. his handling of it can be questionable, but he's not to blame. For the record I'm an SNP supporter, but while we are the "UK", I'd rather Brown be PM than some jumped up public school boy! however, if the tory's DO get into power, scottish nationalism will receive a huge boost.
we need this party, everyone needs to open their eyes, the Labour and Conservative parties are all about personal gain and not managing the country in the interests of the people.

No dont vote BNP, they will do horrible things, dont let them get a single seat, bloody far right policies is what got us into this mess in the first place.
Vote Liberal Democrat- they have a better chance than the Greens , and you'll be voting green anyway seeing as the Lib Dems are the greenest of the three main parties.
Me too, britian needs a REAL change, labour and the tories are just as bad as the other, they have no real plans for the future, they both seemed more bothered about the race to 10 downing street rather than looking fter the country.
If Labour holds the election til 2010, it'll only be good for the LibDems, as their supporters are mostly from late teens. I'm 16 and won't be able to vote til 2010, and most young people I know will vote Libdem, so it's best to wait so more teens can vote.

I dont think I can ever vote LibDem. Nick Clegg is responsible for us not getting a referendum on the EU treaty. He broke a promise and has stopped the British people from being able to decide who makes their laws
They've already made gains from Conservatives in local councils.
My prediction is that because of the leadership of Nick Clegg, the Libdems will take so many seats from Lab and Con, the next election will have to be a coalition because neither party will have enough seats for a majority. Conservative will probably have the most though.

Keep away from our door,
Don't come 'round here no more.
