  • What great quality these machines were! No wonder it still works.

  • I was wondering what the rpm's for this machine are...it looks like it spins at 700 rpm...thanx in advance!

  • Just wondering, what is the spin speed of this washer??

  • @lukerluke1 Yes??

  • Why is the "Cyber Museum" or whatever it's called on AW.org where this video is downloaded no longer on the website?

  • holy shit thats fast

  • The spin drain speed on this machine is nuts!!

  • What's the flapping sound at 16 seconds? It stops at 17 seconds.

  • i presume the motor is new also n horsepower are amps for machine are what ever motor is in power.

  • I want a vintage washing machine. The ones from the 50's were built so much better than today's cheap models! The Kenmore we have is 8 years old and rumbles like a 8.3 earthquake! How effecient were the ones from the 50's? Just curious! Is this one you have fully restored?

  • @56Mercgal They weren't very efficent, but THEY ARE PLAIN AMAZING!

  • @DudeDie222 =1/-1

  • @56Mercgal I don't care how effecient vintage appliances are, they seem to last longer than the newer ones and they look alot cooler too! I love the chrome and different colors washers, stoves and fridges had in the 50's. And they weren't made in China either!!

  • @56Mercgal damn strait. nothing like that is made in the USA anymore...

  • Fast draining, sonic fast spin cycle, dammm!

  • damn talk about some serious centrifugal force...these are fast puppies right here!

  • Fast spin.

  • My grandmother had an early 50's Frigidiare washer that she would brag how it would spin her clothes nearly dry. "It doesn't take any time at all for them to finish drying out on the line."

  • That thing spin drains faster than the Norges from the 70's. very interesting.

  • There is no clutch in these machines. Full torque is applied directly to the motor, so they get up to speed pretty fast.

  • interesting. thanks for the info.
