We cheer for those fight and have died for our Country. We yell and scream to honor them, and every soldier that was been honored gets a moment during game play of a standing ovation by the fans and players. Go to the UC your perspective will change, i can promise you that.

I still feel that the CBC production (for television) was far superior to the NBC version. I think better quality, in terms of production by the American crew would come in handy for growing the game in the United States.. Just a thought.

Thanks for posting this. I watched the game live at WRigley and my buddy's watching at home said the US singer was really bad. We couldn't hear him at all in the stands. I am a DIE HARD Red Wings fan, and I have been conditioned for 40yrs to HATE the Hawks, but every time I hear the anthem at Hawks games, especially when it was at the barn, I get goodebumps and this was no exception... 3 hours later the Wings BEAT THE HAWKS !!!! what a GREAT event... win or lose.. HOCKEY won.

Yes. I was at the game too and it's ridiculous that NBC toned down the crowd cheering. My ears were ringing it was so loud. The upper deck was actually shaking.

Yeah that was insane. Couldn't hear a word of the national anthem but I'll never forget it. My dad said it was louder than the 91 all star game (he was there) that vid is onyoutube too last year of the original chicago stadium and a couple of days after the gulf war. Great thing for hockey I was so glad to be there

Thanks for posting this. I was at the game and didn't get to see any of the cool production stuff the did. I'm pretty disappointed they didn't get more crowd noise from the anthem. It was loud as hell and you can barely hear it on the broadcast.
