&& can some grls here tell me how this uid paraguard helps to NOT GAIN WEIGHT!??? PLEASE i ask because u took pill && the depo & gain a lot of weight thank u!!
that is so true what she said i have the paragard and has worked for me,but i have notice that my periods has changed from 3 days to 8 days and that just started month ago. Some said it might b menopause but im only 36 yrs old that young. I think i will make dr.appt to be sure.
thank you so much for this. i have read the most horrible reviews about acne, weight gain, hair loss....so the fact that your hair and skin is actually better is reassuring. i know that it's different for everyone and i'm hopeful that it will work well with me! i gained weight and broke out from many hormonal birth controls.
I only had cramping the day after insertion and then the next couple of mornings. Thankfully. I'm kindof nervous about what my next period is going to be like. I'm preparing for the floodgates to open lol!
I've had my paragard in for 2 months now. Some things I have found make a big difference:
1. I had irregular spotting, but that has improved with a supplement that has Dong Quai and Chaste Berry/Tree in it.
2. The spotting is usually light/non-existent on days that I exercise.
3. YES! Being hydrated seems to be very important because: If you are dehydrated and exercise it leads to constipation. For me, this seems to cause cramping (not horrible, but worse than usual)
hey just had my IUD put in two days ag... it was painful... I notice I have like bloody discharges... I was coming off my period so I figure it maight be that. Did anyone have anything like that?
@kizziAug I did, and still do get bloody discharges from time to time. Definitely in the first month, I had a bloody discharge for the first week--then it tapered off and on until I finally got my period three weeks later. Remember, minimal bleeding is nothing out of the normal--it is part of the initial adjustment. I still keep unscented feminine wipes (don't overuse!) and pantyliners with me at all times!
Can you partner feel it while intercourse?

@07inolvidable14 The Paragard doesn't have any hormones, so it does not make you gain any weight.
