It's an awesome game, but single player isn't has good as multiplayer. I have played around 361 games, that's like 140 hours of gameplay, and I keep coming back, so it's definitely an addicting game.

it is "noob friendly" but it takes skill to win, my 1v1 record is around 30wins 6 losses. Been playin RTS games all my life, 3v3 different story.. I get noob partners that never wanna rush all the time and they just suck.

I think you have "special units" and "super units" confused. The special units are the units you make via your main base unit. Cutter gets the Elephant, Forge gets the Cyclops, and Anders gets the Gremlin. Now Super units are different, these units are particular super upgraded units for each UNSC commander.  Cutters gets ODST (Max upgraded Marine), Forge gets Grizzlies (Max upgraded Scorpian), and Anders gets Hawks (Max upgraded Hornets).

its 20 years before halo combat evolved and they only have omega spartans wich are spartan 1's master cheif is a spartan 2 and master cheif is a clone of forge or the other way around not sure thats what i heard

the spartan 1's were even before the halo wars game and there werent very many of spartan 1's, but all the spartan teams in halo wars are also spartan 2's

If you wanna Play a game almost with the exact concept and Gameplay possible better graphics depending on your computer. Go for Command and Conquer Generals. Its basically the same thing, with Halo wars having the halo twist.

Bloody good review mate, i am a lover of first person shooters but after halo wars, i play this game heaps :) nothing beats working with your mates to win the match and the strategic aspects of the game. Also the rushing really is becoming a pain in the ass, when i join a game with my mates we wanna have like an hour battle with the enemy but instead the game goes for 3 seconds and they get like 200 score, great game?
