I don't know how many peps have posted so far, (i don't really read responses) but this is definitely a clarinet. More specifically this is an Albert clarinet, probably in Bb, although there is a small chance of it being a different key. That being said, it explains the warmer tone and more "woody" sound thats characteristic of these clarinets. The tone is also because of the mouthpiece that he used combined with the clarinet (yes it changes your tone). He has a great tone and a lot of volume.
frate...se vede ,,,doina de nota 10!!!!!!!doina adevarata din banat!!!!se veede k banatu-i fruncea...se-i vad pe muzicantii oleni k kanta asha cva...asha de curat....numai cei din top!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!si poate nici aia
Magnifique! Wonderful doina; and what a speed at the end! The sound of the clarinetist is really good, not the video sound, the band behind is a little loud...
Pasarea si pitulicul!!!! Una din cele mai frumoase doine din Banat, si Pavel, fie iertatul Paia Maximov si Ionicut Butan cei mai buni clarinetisti pe care i-a avut Banatul. Salutari din Franta! Goran Luchin
This is an A or B-flat clarinet, though with the vibrato, it kinda throws you off because clarinets usually aren't played with vibrato like most other woodwind instruments.
Well, I play the clarinet, so I happen to think that it is a very interesting instrument. It can be an accompaniment for almost any style of music, is a great solo instrument, and its range is versatile too-- 3 and a half octaves at the least.
depends on a person's taste i guess, my grandpa wanted me to play it and i'm glad i didn't, we have no musically talented macedonians around here to start a wedding band, that's the only reason i'd play it. i still think it is a respectable instrument, i'm just not a big fan of weber and mozart concertos.
This is a clarinet, and either usual Bb or possibly an A, though no reason he would have that. An Eb would be much smaller and not capable of the low range.
cea mai frumoasa doina...

not in classical music. i like the clarinet better in balkan music than anything. other than balkan, i think it's kinda a boring instrument.

Forget this classical school stigma-vibrato it's a good and butyfull thing that on clarinet sounds like on every other instrument.Don't be limited.

ya definitly a clarinet. a taragot has a more strident saxaphone like tone.
