now this bit was going to fastt! its supposed to be slowerrr for thee trumpet solo. "/ trumpet solo could have been played better but well dones anywayss (:
It seems to be the same with a lot of youth symphonies. After I moved to a different area, I decided not to rejoin my youth symphony when the manager told me she nearly didn't want me to play because I drew to much attention moving about during dance music. I was just having fun playing :P
HA! Wow. That's a flashback. The principal cellist in this recording was my one and only cello teacher I've ever had :P
She's the daughter of the conductor, so I was at their house every week.
And the rialto theater...my theory class was an hour after rehearsals, so I'd go in during the rehearsals there and listen to the older groups play. How I miss that.
good job.this is my favorite piece composed by Gershwin. me and my band are gonna play it in china this summer.damn that trumpet soloist is sooooo lucky, gets to play that awesome solo....
@tdaumit34 wow, almost as good as Seattle Youth Symphony (no seriously, it sounds really really good)

Yeah, I never liked that there either.

they probably don't show the soloists when they play their solos because they make sour faces as they play out of tune

or it was a local not very good recording company.

You can't blame him. That camera was stationary. Blame the people who controlled which cameras were showing which players at certain times.
