My quaker sounds just like this but I can never understand what he is saying. We just say he's saying "Rasum-frasum" and it sure sounds like complaining to my ears!

First of all I want to say I was totally entertained by Boogie. I too had a bird (Cockatiel) that had two previous owners. He died this past September. I don't have another bird, but I know what you mean. No other bird can replace Boogie.
Please, I would like to know who is Boogie imitating? This is amazing! Can't hear much of it apart from the constant "everybody else" this is a crackup! So sorry you lost this little guy ;(
@dinksta We got Boogie from a woman who had escaped an abusive relationship and could no longer keep him. I believe he picked this up from the "Ex" since he ofetn used the "C" word and made reference to "F'ing Brats". We sure do miss him, our Grey and Red Belly keep us entertained, but nobody will ever fill Boogies shoes!

I have a blue Quaker and he talks a lot. He also sings Gentile Aluette (in French), some opera (Rossini and Mozart-Queen of the night aria). The problem is he is shy and when he notices any kind of camera he stops singing. I could only record him from a distance, while he was inside the cage. Actually he rarely talks/sings when he is out of the cage.
Such a terrible loss. To this day I visit this video occasioally. Boogie is my all time favorite quaker. Why DID he have to die like someone else arleady said? :(

im sorry for your loss of sweet little boogie, just remeber he will be waiting for you at rainbow bridge untill the day comes when you and he will be able to cross it together. and when that day comes when you and he will meet again he will know you are there, he will fly on his little angel wings to sit apon your shoulder and greet you with all the love he missed out on giving you over the years.

I have three Quakers. This is great. My male Sam does the same thing. He was a rescue and once in awhile just hauls off and bites me then he goes into the same thing your bird did. But he will mumble and keep saying "what's wrong huh? what's wrong" Bad Bird, Bad boy...bad Sam Sammie Sam...only bad birds bite.." "Are you okay...are you okay huh?" Sammie wants to be a good bird...." Quakers are great, and I love your post.

Yes, it's so sad. It's tough to cope with that kind of loss. After all, they're just people with feathers to us. We have a rescued Quaker named "Gifty". The woman who picked him off the street when he was wet cold and half dead couldn't keep him because of a noise complaint from a neighbor across the hall. We took him in as she heard we were 'bird people' and would be good to him. We have no idea how old he is.

My condolences. My quaker, Baby Doll, left me St. Patrick's Day 2009. She choked to death on a sunflower seed. I was in the hospital at the time, and my son came home from school and saw her choking, and didn't know what to do. I'm still in mourning for her. They're just like our babies.

The lady who found him and nursed him back from the brink couldn't keep him on account of a stupid neighbor who said he was noisy. Bull! He makes less noise than most people. my Ralphie (who was a quaker parrot) passed away in 2006, I will NEVER stop loving him. Im sure Boogie and Ralphie are flying around Rainbow Bridge. There are books on pet bereavment and groups too that helped me tremendously
What slays me, besides the thought of this adorable bird rattling off all this griping, is wondering who in the family is the cranky curmudgeon who said this kind of thing over and over? LOL. And how many years of complaining did Boogie listen to before he decided to repeat it all? Maybe the grumpy person got lots of attention when s/he said these kinds of things, so Boogie figured he'd get some of that action? So sweet. So sorry you lost your baby.

i have this same kinda bird. he fell out of his nest when he was little and my mom found him. she is older that me!! she says "gizmo, go peepies!" and "im a good boy!" also, "whatwhatwhatwhatwhatwhatwhatwhatwhatwhat." she says it over and over. (we dont know if its a girl or boy.) her name is Dino.
I am a Quaker owner, and previous lovebird owner and both ARE NOT BIRDS FOR FIRST TIME OOWNERS!!! They both can be extremely hard to "tame" and bond with, also, Quaker parrots are banned in over 11 states, and can be a bit pricey. They are a one person bird and can be very loud and destructive. Don't get me wrong, I love my quaker but thats because i know how to train and take care of him. Lovebirds can be sweet, but they are not easy to train
My first parrot was a quaker and I think that they are great for first timers if they can get past the bird's puberty stage, that's when they're loudest. Quaker's are the sweetest and best companions you could ever own, they always weant to be with you. You should definitly get a quaker!!!

I, too, lost my quaker parrot this year. His name was Bogart and we called him Bogie. My deepest condolences. It's been 11 months for me and I'm still not over it.

my Ralphie (who was a quaker parrot) passed away in 2006, I will NEVER stop loving him. Im sure Boogie and Ralphie are flying around Rainbow Bridge. There are books on pet bereavment and groups too that helped me tremendously

What slays me, besides the thought of this adorable bird rattling off all this griping, is wondering who in the family is the cranky curmudgeon who said this kind of thing over and over? LOL. And how many years of complaining did Boogie listen to before he decided to repeat it all? Maybe the grumpy person got lots of attention when s/he said these kinds of things, so Boogie figured he'd get some of that action? So sweet. So sorry you lost your baby.

I'm sorry for your loss. I know how it feels like. My quaker parrot "Pepe" died some years ago and we still remember how he sang to us everyday.
I just miss him so much!

i have this same kinda bird. he fell out of his nest when he was little and my mom found him. she is older that me!! she says "gizmo, go peepies!" and "im a good boy!" also, "whatwhatwhatwhatwhatwhatwhatwhatwhatwhat." she says it over and over. (we dont know if its a girl or boy.) her name is Dino.

i know he had a good home. I love Quakers more than any other parrot and he was an awesome talker.
I truly hope there is another Quaker in your future.

lovebirds have minimal speaking ability
I am a Quaker owner, and previous lovebird owner and both ARE NOT BIRDS FOR FIRST TIME OOWNERS!!! They both can be extremely hard to "tame" and bond with, also, Quaker parrots are banned in over 11 states, and can be a bit pricey. They are a one person bird and can be very loud and destructive. Don't get me wrong, I love my quaker but thats because i know how to train and take care of him. Lovebirds can be sweet, but they are not easy to train

My first parrot was a quaker and I think that they are great for first timers if they can get past the bird's puberty stage, that's when they're loudest. Quaker's are the sweetest and best companions you could ever own, they always weant to be with you. You should definitly get a quaker!!!
