I actually agree with you. I am a die-hard O's fan from as early on as I can remember (moving to Baltimore when I was 2). The "foundation" you speak of I think is close to being in place. Andy McFail is developing the farm system -- we have 3 of the top prospects in the MLB (Matt Weiters included). Our lineup has also really improved with the return of Adam Jones, and the addition of Ty Wigginton and Greg Zaun.

This may have even factored in to us not getting him.
