Its your mistaken interpretation only ... in vr 15 'how form infancy you have known the holy Scriptures' this would mean the OT only would be sufficient ! This is not what Paul is saying. Earlier 2Tim 1:15 Paul states: "what you have HEARD from me keep as a pattern of sound teaching & 2:1-2 'all the things you HEARD me say' . NO BIBLE ONLY IS it! Paul says so

Christ's church transcends man-made denominations. It is populated by believers of probably just about every denomination - even Catholics I suppose. All one has to do to see that apostolic succession was not Given to the RCC is study the lives of the popes; some of them were real monsters - murderers, adulterers, thieves, and heretics. Even some of your own historians are candid about this. Read up.

That's from your RC Bible. Notice v17 - "perfect" (Scripture fully completes his spiritual instruction).

Also, if a doctrine disagrees with o contradicts the Bible, it can confidently be categorized as heresy. Much RC dogma is not only unbiblical, it is anti-biblical. This is what happens when tradition replaces the authority of God's Word.

I encourage you to study your Bible to see if the things you believe and are being taught line-up with the Word of God. Remember. it is "inspired of God", so that by its teaching you may be "perfect, furnished to every good work."

Dear Brother - 2Tim.3: 16-17 does not teach 'Bible Alone', as the only source of theological truth. This verse teaches the the great virtues of scripture which we revere. Until 382 AD- THEIR was no canonical Bible , which 'books' should make up the bible. So Paul was not talking about the New Testament was he, but the Old Testament .

What's it say? It says ALL SCRIPTURE is God-breathed, and able to fully equip the man of God, so that he may be "perfect'. I don't see how you can argue that Paul's saying anything other than that Scripture is sufficient for spiritual instruction.

Also, we know that Peter regarded Paul's writing as Scripture (2Pe 3:16), so his letters at last were regarded as cripture to their recipients.
