...oh wait, the PC that I'm using right now was made by me (i7 processor, GTX 295, 6GB RAM). Damn, I guess the guys who created their PC should deserve some super-awesome credit, right? Haha.

punjer: I commend the guy on his efforts. Granted this video is 3 years old, and now adays so many companies are cashing in on the home retro arcade. Sure you can buy joysticks and stuff, but what the guy had going here was a self containing unit with the computer inside.

I have seen people build them also in the larger format of x-arcade panel with the computer under the sticks and wireless connections.

I plan on building my own arcade controls i have not seen any yet that are as modular as I would like I rather have about 8 to 12 buttons per player and access to at least two joysticks for each player with the option to switch between a 4 and 8 way controller ... I just don't see anyone making a ready made version of what I want yet. Yet if the money comes to me I am more and willing to build my own

yeah that is what i am doing right now ... but sadly i just have a dual analog joystick to play this game and its just not that good for Killer Instinct (one of my favorite arcade series) its not even as good as the N64 controller for these 2 games in my opinion

yes i use U64. I know Mame runs pretty smooth on character select screen with a high end processor, but i have never had any complaints from my last 30 customers.

you should make the same thing but put maximus arcade frontend on the pc so you have a cool menu interface and load it up with all the old game systems and mame. having that would make the mouse not necessary

Its really not a console but a custom built computer in a smaller case. People build computers for thier tv's all the time today called HTPC's (Home Theater PC's). Its a pretty common thing anymore and some of the cases they have look like dvd players or vcr's. Getting a video card that displays on tv is quite easy too since most ati cards do it fine. I would recommend a remote or wireless mouse though since it is easier.

Check your emulation speeds on KI2- compare them to my KI2 cabinet booting with the genuine arcade board. You should use MAME rather than U64 for better accuracy.

Nice system,

but you ll better to not use the u64emu, because it sucks deeply, and does not emulate well.

speed problems (you can see when he push start, there is a lag, it is common to that emulator) and vsync problem (you can see when the RARE logo flip, a desync horizontal line)

Use Mame instead ;)

your right their not, i'm just illustrating Mame, KI and KI2 running and playable on a TV rather than a monitor and is also built to boot on a TV and also portable like and Xbox system. i know a modded xbox will do the same thing with KI, KI2 and mame but most people don't have a modded xbox.
