  • envy with ur hair

  • I have problems blowing my back hair, what should I do?Its like I cant each my back hair!! >.<

  • Im not trying to be funny... but Im black , & my hair is at the top of my back & its BEYOND thick... I just learned how to start taking care of my own hair , & Im bout to try a blowout very soon.. & by watching this video I got more excited about doing it because yours turned out so pretty... do you recommend i use the same products as you? or try something different?

  • Thank you. I'm trying to learn how to do this for my wife.

  • Doesn't your wrist hurt?! I love blowing my hair out but it's sooo long and their's sooo much and my wrist starts screammminggg at me, lol. I'm hoping that the more that I do it, the less it'll hurt.. or maybe I'll just carpal tunnel, haha.

  • I use the same type of brush and a revlon blow dryer similar to yours and omg my hair comes out AMAZING! I been doing it for years also I wait till my hair is completely air dried to blow it out cuz its faster for me lol Awesome Vid!

  • It looks good! It seem like it takes a long time though. You need the Body Up Pro brush system, you can achieve that same look in half that time. And I put on my makeup with my hair cools its great!

  • Where do you get a nossle?

  • @chiachacha it depends on your blowdryer you might need to look up the brands website to order one or you can see if Ulta has one or maybe a sally's.

  • So I have SUPER fine hair and I've tried this many times before watching your video and now that I've seen this video I'm wondering if your hair ALWAYS has to be as dry as yours was, and if so how do u get it that dry if you're crunched for time? I have SUPER fine hair and I've tried teasing and using root lifters but I've noticed my roots take so long to dry that it's very difficult not to burn my scalp.

  • @Turry14 you can put the blow dryer on low and just blowdry it a little. Then when you are ready to blow it out then you can put it on high and put the temp up. You'll still get the same effect. also when you are blow drying your hair and you want to get lift at the roots just instead of pointing the brush down, put the brush at the root and pull up towards the ceiling and then down, so that the roots get a little lift.

  • Awesome

  • You were giving me some serious anxiety in this!! Lol! But this was really helpful. Thanks!

  • your really prett............

  • If you have curly, frizzy hair, will this technique work for you, or is it better to just flat iron?

  • @japanesechidiya I have very frizzy hair and it works for me but you should do this with your hair wet. Also tension on the brush is key also. You can't have a light hand with it you need to have good tension on the section when blow drying. And a really good serum is key for before and after. I do love this new one I use in my new how I style my short hair video...check it out!!!! =)

  • your awesome! i needed this! xD but one question: when i finished its mega frizzy, am i doing something wrong? oh wait i have one more question: is it better to flat iron after as well? *im still a beginner lol* ^___^ thxxx <3

  • @cookiecrazy555 Def have your hair wet when blowing your hair out. Not overly wet but not too dry either. Also make sure you are pulling your hair through kind-of tough. Def make sure you use a frizz tamer before you blowdry your hair and def afterwards as well. Make sure to use a boar bristle brush also.

  • @cookiecrazy555 Oh ! Just make sure you point the blowdryer down the shaft, don't point it up, otherwise frizz city!

  • @Jasmine171819 Yea I know that now that I actually went to cosmetology school, this video was made way before!!! I was just showing how I did it and would keep frizz at bay!!!

  • @kikiV222 oh no for sure! I was just replying to the question up there :) your blowout on the video was really good !!! I finally just mastered the technique now after a couple months. I have layers though so I learned a neat trick to flat iron just the bottom section(s) after blowdrying for length and then just blowdrying the top sections for volume and body and subtle waves :)

  • Great video.

  • You. Are. So. GORGEOUS.

  • @themissbootyqueen Thank you that's very sweet!!!! =)

  • Hey. Great video does this work for African American Females hair also.. mines is frizzy an shoulder length

  • @MsSmooth90 It will but you really have to be a little more firm when pulling your hair through. And when your on one section go over that section more than once. If also is important to get the appropriate products for your hair type. And to get it straight and smooth, go over it will a flat iron after. =) Also use a bigger boar bristle brush!!!

  • heyy me and my friend were watching this video to see how to blow out our hair for the start of school. thanks so much, this was so helpful! about the wooden brush, if you use a metal one, will it come out differently?

  • @aktmuskateers32 sometimes metal brushes can be more damaging just bc they heat up with the heat of the blow dryer but salons still use them. But they are better for people with fine to medium hair as well as getting great volume. =)

  • Hi KiKiV222! I use the same techniques and congrats on your engagement! LOL. You're probably married now...but anyhoo, where did you purchase that brush? I noticed it was not exactly rounded, but more of a rounded triangle shape. Thanks!

  • @Mia007100 Thanks!!!! I purchased the brush from a salon I used to go to, not sure what it would be called. You could try and google it though. =)

  • I need to know how to do this!! I love this thick hair look and cant wait until my hair grows. brunettes have more fun!

  • @stefxedest you can get moroccan oil sometimes at salons or beauty supply stores. Or go to moroccanoil . com

  • When you do the back, do you just section it across, or do you split the top and bottom section? Thanks! So helpful!

  • @yoyomonica100 I usually section my hair right down the middle and start on one side and take a section at a time. it really is a personal preference of what your comfortable with. either way it's gonna work.

  • @XYyeah First thank you so much that's so sweet to say. The camera I use is a JVC Everio MS120RU and it was I think it was about $200. Not positive but you can look it up online and find the best price. =) Thanks for watching my videos!!!!

  • this looks really pretty and easy, except my hair is too thick and it'd take too long :\

  • @xoxokellsoxox You can still do it just use a bigger brush and bigger sections.

  • Wow, your hair looks great! :) I am def going to blow dry my hair like this next time!

  • you are adorable! so personable =)

  • Tell them you want it to be wispy. The best thing to do though that stylist love, even myself being a hairstylist pictures are great. If you have a picture of a hairstyle that you like them bring it to them so they have an idea. But I usually think of it as a wispy look.

  • Hey i have a really important question. I'm having my sweet 16 next month and REALLY want my hair to look like this. I know i would never be able to do this hair style on my own and i have extremely curly hair so if i go to the salon what should i ask them for? When i ask them to blow dry it should i ask them for "flipped in" or "waved at the ends" when they blow dry my hair. Cause sometimes they ask if you want it blow dried wavy or straight and I want mine looking like yours. (: thanks!

  • I was just wondering what blowdryer you are using it seems to be really good:)

    this is a great tutorial!

  • @flygirl0 it is a Zoe brand. You can buy them at Ulta or Sephora!

  • thanks chick! :)

  • can't you just use a blow brush

  • I do my hair the same way I saved this video so I can look back at your other videos

  • i love your hair! =]

  • great video, very helpful !! :)

  • my hair takes a LONG time to dry so usually i flip my head upside down and then try to style it ....do you suggest that because your hair seems pretty dry when you start blowdrying it out?

  • @brittanyfleming87 I usually let mine air dry if you have the time then you can do that. But putting your head upside down is ok if you want and it will give you some volume if you have none. But just dry your hair about 80% and then start blowing out your hair with the brush.

  • hey, nice video, where can i buy this john frieda hair serum

  • @onir091987 target, walmart, cvs, rite aid. Anywhere really. Even sometimes in grocery stores!

  • @kikiV222 thanks

  • Hi, I loved the video, I was just wondering, how your hair is cut? :)

  • @grumpyidiot1017 The back is pretty much all one length now...since this video was 9 months ago. And I have long layers in the front with a side bang that I'm able to wear on either side. I also get my hair thinned out with thinning shears. =)

  • do you go to sleep on your hair like this? i wont have time to do this all in the morning so i was wondering if it would still look good if i went to sleep on it..?

  • really found this helpful. but naturally what type of hair do you have ?

  • @hali262 I have very thick frizzy hair and wavy.

  • @kikiV222 thanks i did it as soon as i saw your video and it helped alot so thanks, but i found that the effects didnt last very long :S

  • haha oh my gosh i love your shirt :)

  • your hair is soooo pretty, i love this, i'm going to try it just like this, thanks!!

  • I got a bit nervous watching you blow dry your hair. For those of you who want to do what she is doing... do not completely dry your hair with the air former right up close to your hair. Regardless of what cream or spray you use to protect your hair it will dry out over time!

A good tip is to allow your hair to dry 80% before you style... you can do this by letting it towel dry or blow dry your hair (keeping a distance and medium heat). Then follow the video

  • @oOkpd625Oo I did this video 8 months again and actually am now a cosmetology student and I have learned a lot more about hair. And what you said is correct but just know that I wasn't a hairstylist during this time...now I am. And if you want to lecture people don't do it on my channel make your own videos. Thanks! If you don't like my videos and the way I do things then make your own and teach people how to do it properly.

  • @kikiV222 I am sorry. I really didn't mean to offend anyone. I only made the comment when you were initially drying your hair it just was not mentioned whether you would do it wet or dry when you were drying close up. I thought it would be a good idea to touch base on it and add that information that's all. I made the mistake myself a long time ago before I started beauty school and I saw my hair starting to dry out.

  • @oOkpd625Oo Also, I do enjoy your videos and I browse these types of videos often to learn new things. But with all do respect, comments are enabled and I didn't think adding that information was going to hurt. Once again, I apologize if my message came off the wrong way... but that's text for you! Take care.

  • i like you.

  • this is the best tutorial video i've seen. you're adorable! and i love that you're using products you can find anywhere, instead of crazy expensive specialty stuff--i love that i don't have to make a trip to get the look, i already have it all in my vanity! thank you so much! :)

  • @chrsnanni Your so welcome!! Thanks for checking out my videos, I really appreciate it!!! =)

  • haha you are so cute. they way you talk is so rushed and enthusiastic. this video is awesome and totally helpful. thanks for posting and congratulations on getting married!

  • @meredithkav Thanks so much!!!! =)

  • amazingly helpful, thank you SO much, i will definitely try your methods soon. your hair looks so nice at the end, full of body but so sleek. thank you!!

  • @xiitharn Awesome!!! =)

  • super cute! i love how thick it looks! do you dry it right out of shower or semi air dried??

  • @SimplySara3 I leave it in the towel till it is about 80% dry, then I blow dry it!!!

  • hey...Congress..Good to listen. Wishing u a very haapy marriage life.

  • hey..Best tutorial I consider. Love ur hair. My hair is very freezy & not at all smooth So

which spray I use to protect my hair.? & Also waiting for ur new vedio on product u use.

  • @dharakacha Hey thanks for the sweet comment. I use tresemme's heat tamer spray. And i'm planning on doing a video but I just got married and started cosmo school so I've been really really busy. So as soon as I have some down time I will def get to it. xoxo

  • @dharakacha if your hair is frizzy like mine you should invest in GOOD hair dryer!

  • what shampoo do you use??! do a hair care review ??

  • @indriani1012 Ok i'll make a video on the products I use and what I do to keep my hair nice. =)

  • omg i love ur hair..!!

  • @MisBumblebee10 Thank you, ur so sweet!!!

  • my hair will last like this for about and hour. do u have anysuggestions? oh and hairspray doesnt work on my hair by the way. lol after im done blowdrying it i would put hairspray so i feel like it ways it down but idk. HELP!

  • @MZGLZ92 I don't ever really use hairspray either. I think the best way to keep it like this is the john frieda hair serums. But it depends on what type of hair you have?

  • this helped so much thank you! and your downright beautiful!!!!

  • @xohannahxo742 awww thank you so much that means a lot!!! xoxo

  • Great tutorial...So helpful :)

    BTW you have beautiful hair!!

    Thank You!

  • @thesisterslounge I so glad it helped you!! And thanks!! =)

  • QUESTION: i hav very thick hair and its about the same length as urs in this vid.

well my issue is that my hair is very frizzy and has a lot, a lot of volume so that wenever i blow dry it it looks like a poodle. =/

i was wondering if to blow dry it just like u did in the vid, if i should wait till its half dry or it really doesn't matter?

  • @TheN3094 no it really doesn't matter bc once you put a heat tamer spray on it it is gonna wet it again. Also make sure to put on some frizz cream before blow drying!!!

  • loveee this! i actually went out and bought a brush similar to yours and used it with a frizz control and everything! my hair has never been so soft and i have naturally crazyyyy hair! so thanks so much it was an awesome helppp! :D

  • Greaat video, I loove your hair!

I've always wondered how to do this hairstyle .. Thank you! (:

  • @PinkStripes02 Thank you and your so welcome!!! def try it and keep practicing it bc eventually it will get so easy and you'll be done with your hair in no time. =) xoxo

  • love your shirt!! :D

    ahhh I looove your hair!

so why are metal brushes bad for your hair?

  • @roxybella95x thanks!! Metal brushes and plastic brushes will damage your hair and pull your hair out. Wooden brushes run through your hair more smoothly so there isn't much pulling. Also the metal heating up from the blow dryer on your hair isn't good when you do it for long periods of time. I learned that from a hair salon when I bought my brush. They had metal brushes there but said that wooden ones are better especially for people with long hair.
