This truly is my favorite film. 1939 was the best year for Hollywood. Midnight should be given more credit as a great movie than it is. It simply had too many other iconic films to compete with the year it was made. The phone conversation between Barrymore, Colbert and Ameche was the most hilarious scene in my opinion. Who would think they could see "The Great Profile" acting like a little girl?!
this is one of my most fave movies and this is one of the funniest scenes. the bit where john barrymore skips down the steps as don ameche is going up...classic.
It's my favorite movie and favorite scene too. It's got to be one of the funniest movies ever, besides The Great Dictator.
