  • sweet tone

  • Are those the 490r 498 t pup set? My 04 SG standard had them. I didn't dig'em. I dropped in a set of P 90s and she sounds like a dream now. Rock on.

  • What tuning did you use? Great tone by the way.

  • angus young is the best guitar player i ever heard:D

  • wow man that really sings.

  • you make an SG sound good, thats something ! (no offence, i just think their horrid guitars) bet everyone to their own ey !

  • @adamhopeless How are horrid, they look bad-ass, sound great and were preferred by greats such as Jerry Garcia, Angus Young, Frank Zappa, Robby Krieger and Tony Iommi

  • That SG bite is darn sweet. Great playing!

  • @samsael - Oh ya! Santana who loves his PRS guitars which are a influenced by Gibson tone monsters such as, Les Pauls, SG's, and JR's. etc... These set neck guitars along with the humbucker pickups have allot of sustain (feed back being a different subject) makes one want to melt. Cheers bro!

  • velhão, que baita timbre. Vou copiar umas passagens que vc faz.

    Baita abraço.

  • @paupuro Obrigado, valeu mesmo !

    Abração

  • great touch! that's greasy!

  • Hey sweet playin... Could I know the tuning used ? It would be nice. Thank you !!

  • What pedals and settings did you use?

  • @lespaulnmarshall.... He was using the clutch pedal and everything was on 17.

  • @yakiburger Guitar and Amp Only !

  • @ccrotti Yeah I realize the sound was being produced with just a guitar, amp and good technique. Whenever someone hears a good sound the first question they ask is "what pedals did you use?" I couldn't resist a little sarcasm :)

  • @lespaulnmarshall Amp and Guitar !

  • @lespaulnmarshall SG Standard 498T/490R and Marshall JCM600 combo. settings treble 9 mid 6 bass 5 1/2. no pedals.

  • That was awesome... I love the way you slide... So sweet...

What backing track did you use?

  • Are you using a compressor sustainer?

  • @conor30000 I just used guitar and amp !

  • Really nice tone. Good job!

  • Olá, que som heim! Parabéns!

Aki, estou pensando em mandar fazer um jtm45 pra mim da Tubeamps, em que volume você conseguiu essa saturação?Atenciosamente.

  • @jorgechavesbarbosa Valeu Jorge. O amplificador estava muito alto. Quase no máximo !

    Abraço

  • @PindamonhaMAN Opa estou em SP ! O mínimo que eu consigo fazer é 4 mil !

    Abraços

  • god job man!!!

  • i thought i was listening to some freddie king, thn i look up and it was this random guy ive nvr seen in my life

    great playing!!

  • what sustain!

  • Good luck trying to get sustain like that on a Strat!

  • lol

  • @Snotra I guess it's more feedback than sustain. Like Carlos Santana! Cheers

  • @Snotra any gibson would kick a Strats ass !!

  • @Snotra strats aint the the sustain but they HAVE got the tone ;)

  • @markdocker And thats why you need both, always prefered the SGs over the Les Pauls, but you have to have a STrat too

  • the backing track is one of the "preloaded tracks" in the boss rc-2.

    great sound man!

  • i love it. I had a hard time hearing the backing track, but it's all good.

  • way to really make a listener crave that finishing note, I love your style, you really let it sustain and then right at the last moment switch to next note, it's like sweet+sour sauce,no no it's more like you want serious food but crave something sweet. Great job man, forgive my crazy analogies.

  • can you get some distorted sounds with this amp? like guns n roses and darkness?

  • You probably can get that good gnr sound put never heard of the darkness they sound like a mettalica type band so prolly not with the jtm45

  • @fulivius

The Darkness get their Queen meets AC/DC vibe from 100 watt Marshall Super Leads (MkII). A bit of a different beast.

  • awesome tone and playing! damn i wish i had a bluesbreaker lol

  • tool comes to mind, don't take it personal tho

  • Why?

  • Very nice man

  • glass slide?

  • looks like ceramic slide to me

  • it is a ceramic slide!

  • lol then i was right and got a minus. darn

  • + ! : )

  • hey - i know the tune :)) it´s a Boss Looper Blues :))

  • i didnt thinkg the jtm has a dirty channel, at least not this dirty, are you using a pedal? if so what kind?

  • I used Amp and Guitar Only !!!

    Thanks !

  • The Classic

  • Amazing slide sound. Nice job!!!

  • sustain!!!!

  • nice feeling and tone, buddy!!!!!!

  • gibson sg + jtm-45 takes you to the edge of sounds.... this combination is a classical old one.... and it's like the old strato pluged on a bassman 5f6-a, you know what i mean....

  • yeah!

  • pretty much anything into a jtm 45 is amazing

but i know what you you mean

    gibsons through marshalls=heaven

and fenders through fenders =heaven as well :)

  • The JTM-45 and the Bassman you listed there are all but the same amplifier..

  • Bassman uses diferent tubes in original specs than the Bluesbreaker :-) Bassman 12AT7 and 5881 (i am not sure to the power tubes) and the JTM-45 used 12AX7 and KT66 :-) and of course diferent speakers :-)

  • great vid...loe it. Nice to see someone exploiting the SG's greatness for blues. Thats mostly what I play on mine....love it. I have a slide I never mess with. Do you you needs to do anything to the strings first or not?

  • congrats uv mastered the chicago blues sound

  • Thanks Nacnueed !!!!

  • You sound great, the feedback is cool, and the guitar is Beautiful - but for the love of god take the plastic coating off the SG's scratchplate that has the gold sticker on!

  • Hé..hé.. Sorry !!!

    Thanks Alex !!!

  • Amazing sound and playing!

Your slide tone is like a human voice.

  • Thanks Toomuchblues !!!!!

  • Thank you very much for your comment!!!

  • The best thing about watching this video is that you have such a unique style, unlike any slide playing I've heard. Long, great sustain with a smooth, controlled vibrato...I haven't seen such a unique style from anyone on youtube in terms of electric guitar.

This is, in my view, one of the best slide guitar videos on all of youtube. Nice job!

  • holy jesus, you are good at slide and sustain and harmonics. it sounds like a female singer. good job. i have the same guitar. i want a fender now. or something with p-90 pickups.

  • Thank you very much. P-90 is a great sound!

  • thats slides weird what is it made of?

  • maybe smoked glass

  • or ceramic

  • The Moonshine Slide is the original ceramic guitar slide !

  • that sounds so good man!!!!

  • Nice touch!

  • What kind of slide is that?

  • Guita novinha, hein! 2008?

  • Que som o dessa guita!

  • You fix the guitar for play slide becuse i don´t now how to do it please help me!!!

  • You need to have the action raised for slide and then it's all about practice.

  • Than you.

  • I've finally purchased an SG last Wednesday in the Pensacola fl gc :) and man this thing ROCKS All over the place.

By the way may great playing.

    what's your eq?

  • Great job, the SG is one of my favorites and I also enjoy slide alot.

  • Great tone man! (And great playing, of course!)

Is that a RI jtm45 head? Are you using a power attenuator or something?

  • Are you using open tuning? Or just standard? I can't seem to single out a note like that when I use a slide. Sounds really nice!

  • Thank You Mizanz ! Standard Tuning !!!

  • Can I hear this on the neck pup & the bridge pup?

  • E eu me matando pra tirar aquele solinho mixuruca de Tush no slide...

    Parabéns mano!

    Abraço

  • Você se matando ? Há..tá...eu vi os barbudos em Ação !!!

    Valeu man..

    Grande abraço

  • what is that slide?

  • what's the mater with the slide? my slide is a metal thingy I found on the ground that fits around my finger.

  • That looks like an epic custom made glass slide.

    Thick as hell, it looks.

    Thick glass= tone for days.

  • Fucking tasty indeed.

Where is the green smoke coming the BOD "Bong of destiny" (

  • cool tone!

  • That was tasty.

  • I pick up a little Derek Trucks phrasing, but it's still uniquely your own. Sounds awesome.

  • Lovely tone.

  • Woooo listen to it waillll!

  • fantastic sound and fantastic hand!!!

  • Sweet slide playing dude!

  • Oh yeah! Love that sound...

  • The Marshall JTM-45 Blues Breaker is the combo that Clapton use way back some time around 1966 after he got invited to play in John Mayall's band the Blues Breaskers...I want a Marshall JTM-45 Blues Breaker Combo really, REALLY bad...how much would u let it go for?!?

  • is that a moonshine slide i see??

  • this is awesome, man. is this all improvised? what scales do you use?

  • hes using a mixture of Minor Pentatonic and Major Pentatonic

  • cheers :]

  • The pentatonic, that guitar players call pentatonic is neither major nor minor.

  • WRONG!

If a scale is pentatonice that simply means that is a five note scale. a minor pentatonic consists of these intervals

    1 m3 4 5 m7

a major pentatonic has these intervals

    1 2 3 5 6

    If you dont believe me

    LOOK IT UP

  • louisguitarslinger speaks the truth

  • but you use an open tuning?

  • Great sounding! But to buy a sg i would buy the 62 RI Gibson VOS with maestro !!Keep that good feel!!

  • How would you say the gibson (sg and others) are for slide guitars? Which gibson would be best

  • awesome man, finally someone with some soul on youtube, most of the people out here are sloppy and play way to fast this is great

  • id say ur obviously influenced by derek trucks, considering the style; playing with ur fingers and equipment; a slide and gibson sg

    well done man

  • Awesome tone and sustain!

    I think a Gibson+Marshall= best rock/blues guitar tone

  • SOUNDS ~ AMAZING MAN , wish i caught on too slide playing so ican play this sorta stuff

  • really nice playin', and I got to say that bluesbreaker sounds amazing as usual

  • Jesus, I wish I could play slide that well on my SG, or on any guitar!

Are you doing anything special for all that sustain? Or is it just the vibrato?

  • the amp is probably set to be very loud, and he gets feedback from it.

  • Got a little Derek Trucks going there. Nice

  • Whats with your pinky finger?

    full stars!!

  • it's a slide.

  • Great touch! Great tone and even nicer sustain. I wanna reach in there and peel off that damn sticker on your pickguard..lol. Post some more Vids!
