Yeah, I do feel bad for Toby, it's sad that of all the supernatural human-like beings in this game, the most human was furthest from being human.
You know who else I feel bad for? The Hero himself. He's saved many people, friends, family, strangers from many different disasters, yet he couldn't actually save the girl nor Toby.
Thanks a lot for the person who put this up here. I used to get choked up by this sequence when I was a child, and twelve years later I still hear the actors' voices here. Beautiful, nostalgic stuff.
This video really was very sad to watch Toby Have to Die. He lived to protect her even to give up his life to give her life back to her. Really touching. Why wont Vivendi make a XP-friendly collection of the QFG games?!
I play them on XP all the time. Download DosBox to play the first 3 games, and VDMSound to play the 4th. The 5th should work fine with the latest patches.
Thank you for the upload. Toby's sacrifice was one of the great emotional moments in gaming. It made me cry when I first saw it and brought a tear to my eye just now when I watched the video. Of course, it helps to have played the game and gotten the backstory behind the little girl's death, her pet monster Toby, and the Dark Master that "turned" her into a Vampire.
Holy CRAP is that kid scary! Never got to play this game, but I've heard a lot about it. ANy chance you could post more vids showcasing the way creepy nature of this game?
This is like the dark version of King's Quest 6's Beauty and the Beast, eh? I see you played the game without the voice actors, either to save space on your computer or you just hate the voices. ^_^; At any rate, I love all these old Sierra games and hope to see more Quest for Glory stuff from you.
My childhood remembered yet again by these types of youtube videos. Thank you Zarla. Thank you for being a shining reminder of what I had growing up!

This was definitely a touching moment and I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who thought so.
It reminds me of the end of "The Monster Squad".

Too bad you didn't have the version with voices. It really added a lot.

Hmm...now that you mention it, I could try to see if I can get all the Rituals at the end, those are pretty neat.
