  • how does these people not drown i struggle 2 get up after i fallen off like 8 foot wave they're soooo powerful but they look like 40 foot prob more

  • Does anyone know what Band this is and the Song Name? x_x

  • Men of steel

  • 0:46 : board: fuck this shit

  • I had a late drop at the lane on a solid ten footer a while back.....it fucked me up real good. I can't imagine 25"+.

  • Why aren't the boards strapped to them? Surely it would be their lifeline?

  • @Lespaulcoolio they are, big wave surfers use a really long leggy though. it can be ur lifeline or death by pulling you back over the falls

  • 1:08 that barrel took him to Narnia

  • so good and joking D:

  • 1:05 A little girl just lost her father :x

  • I hope these guys can hold their breath to save their lives cus their gonna have 2

  • The kids on Rocket Power had no problem with waves like these.

  • i love how Kelly Slater gestured with a piece of a board a 0:35 lol

  • yo les doy un 10 a cada clabado bueno :)

  • ouch

  • 1:09 definitely the worst!!

  • fuck these people goted raped more than i raped my monkey

  • I'll stick to my 4-5 foot waves

  • mum help my

  • washing machined

  • why do they never fill them spinning and flippin balls under the wave when it crashes that be gnar just like a ragdoll they should do that DO IT!

  • 1:52-1:57

it looks like he didnt have enough wax on his board

  • dude, knarly wipeouts,

  • that probaly hurt alot

  • if you notice on many of these wipeouts, the board starts to shimmy or fall away from the rider...and when you are going around 30 mph, you can hit pretty hard..but surviveable. what makes wipeouts terrible is getting caught down in a 2-5 wave set and you are in the impacto zona.. and have the breath knocked out of you , then get held down for 2-3 minutes. breathe in foaming sea water then get held down again. rinse repeat.

  • i bet riding up that first wave like the guy on the left is fucking awesome

  • fall on water ? wow... try some snowboard or motocross falls, now that's what I call a wipeout

  • @korvix dude snows hella soft... and it doesnt move... wear some wrist guards cuz thats the only part of you that hurts in snowboarding, and your ass.... but your used to your ass hurting cuz you ride motocross, which means you also take it in the ruppertstien. stay on land bro, where your safe to lie down for 30 minutes and have trainers ask you whats wrong while you cry under a helmet like those kooks do in motocross events, thats fine. the big wave surfers will go conquer the real fear. KOOK

  • @korvix No offense, but you've definately not tried surfing. Im a good snowboarder, and i also surf a bit. And a heavy 6 foot swell is already way more dangerous than snowboarding. And believe me, i do stupid stuff when i snowboard xD but none of that can even compare to big waves, im scared as shit of big waves :O You cant imagine the power of those waves, you get smashed, dragged down, you cant get air, you can easily hit reef,...

Dont go surfing man, you clearly havent felt natures power.

  • @korvix you obviously havent surfed before

  • 0:37 is that a shark in the wave?

  • @Fun3lizabeth No probably just some sand or dirt that came up with the current

  • the last dude...was the chosen one

  • How come these stories are not on the news more often? Who cares about another football player spraining his finger when this is going on?

  • kelly would of smashed it

  • Eddie would go RIP

  • what song/band is used for this video??

  • you guys catch way to big of waves those are fucking tsumai dude guys use your brain u die easy

  • CRAZY it would be hard to breathe when u fall off

  • Look at the humans size against those waves? If we dont have skills, dont even dare getting close to these waves!

  • Never be scare or afraid of a wave, but always respect the wave...the ocean...!!!

  • I would pay to see the look on his face at 2:18

  • HAHA 1:39 they knew they were screwed from the beginning

  • These people must be imbeciles. Experienced but still thinking like a 10 year old, big woof. Taking big chances with their lives like it's some kind of thrill. After surfing over 20 years I am giving up SoCal forever and good riddance, the place sucks the most of the world. Just a bunch of clueless trolls out there that have never seen a "good" wave in their life. They should call it Trolling.

  • Didn't get a chance to take a breath? You guna drown!

  • Apparently this fucking song doesn't exist. Searched audible lyrics for a good hour. Couldn't fucking find shit. I'm a little pissed off that the fuck who uploaded this didn't credit the artist of this song. Fuck you uploader.

  • @anonymous0s0egion I've been searching for this song and i haven't found anything online. Maybe it doesn't exist. If i find out i will let you know and if you do first, let me know please. It's gotten stuck in my head and i'd love to know who sings it. Sorry if you thought this was the answer, i wish i could've given you the title.

  • @anonymous0s0egion who cares it's a shitty song

  • fuck this im staying with 6 ft waves thank you very much

there insane they should of atleast done tow in its just to big to paddle out

  • whats the song

  • what is the song ? please

  • took off on a 8/9footer pearled and broke my arm after hitting the bottom

  • These people must be the equivalent of Olympic level swimmers to come out alive (presuming they are swimming out alive). Learning to surf recently I got caught in a normal sized 5-6ft wave with board just as it was breaking onto me unprepared. I got thrown around violently, shaken up badly and swallowed a load of sea water (I can swim at a good level).

  • @hardatlurk15 kook.

  • @hardatlurk15 shit happens dude, u just deal with it and move on to the next set c;

  • @hardatlurk15 they cant be compared to them cuz olympic swimmers would probally panic drown and die

  • @hardatlurk15 Not necessarily olympic swimmers, the key to surviving huge wipeouts is to relax when your taken. Theres absolutely nothing you can do against the waves force especially when its big. When you feel less force against you then you would try swimming upwards. A lot of big wave surf training is based around increasing the ability to hold your breath for long periods.

  • @hardatlurk15 your a pussy getting slamed by waves is fun.:)

  • @hardatlurk15 after a while you know when not to inhale. lol. most times im more concerened about snapping my board than myself. i generally try to jump off backward.

  • @hardatlurk15 You have to be able to hold your breathe for a long time. Pretty useless to struggle and swim against the power of these waves I think.

  • more important you have to be able to hold your NERVES for a long time because if you freak out you are simply dead. no matter if current pull you away or a wave push you so deep in the water that your eardrums blow. nobody here watching those videos without ever surfed can even imagine how big your balls must be to surf waves bigger than 10-15. i personally have surfed 15ft+ after hurricanes and lost boards because the leashes broke and its a very thin line to death. but so fun too!!

  • @hardatlurk15 aahah lolllll noob

  • awsomeeeeeee omg soo cool yet painfuull

  • dont you need to get those things that plant your feet to the board? haha

  • i cubic foot of water weighs 1 ton... remember that when watching these videos...

  • @PandaLikes2RawR emm its actually 1 cubic metre that weighs 1 ton... 1 cubic foot only weighs about 28 kilos

  • @PandaLikes2RawR with the waves im assuming?

  • now thats what i call a 12 foot ninja

  • Insane

  • If some of you people cant express yourselfs without four letter words. Then perhaps you should increase your education before writting your comments.

  • @unionlanding emm it looks like you need to "increase your education" as well mate. Its not yourselfs its yourselves, and you also spelt writing wrong. If english is not your first language then i apologize unreservedly.

  • @unionlanding - In addition, you exhibit poor sentence structure. Your first "sentence" is an incomplete thought. You should have put a comma behind "words" and not capitalized "then." OR, you should have rewritten the whole thing. OR, you could have kept your thoughts to yourself.

"Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt." - English proverb

  • Most of these guys are dropping in pretty deep in the barrel on massive waves. Not the best idea as you can see.

  • At 1:58 i think he doesnt have enought wax

  • yeah lol in places like indo if you fall of a 4 ft wave thats enough to smash you to bits on the coral with a 20 ft wave well thats just fucked.

  • aloha and hasta la vista!

  • can someone please explain to me how they make it out of the water alive?

  • @TheMikiPeri some don't!!

  • fuck this. im sticking to big wave surfing wii

  • @Rac665 I gotta check that game out, lol.

  • fuck this, i'm sticking with boogie boarding.

  • @Subatomic1000

    yeah easy shit is fun.

  • big wave surfing is probably the most dangerous sport ever people who think you just fall in water and it dosent hurt well sometimes you can get sucked down over 20 m deep and u have know clue where u are cause u are spinning so many times u get dizzy and u can get hit on rocks

  • i caught a wave witch was 15 ft and i jamp of my board and when in was in the water i did 9 frontflipspins and im only 12 and besides u can also get hurt on a 5 to 6 ft wave

  • @killrednecks123

12 year old surfing 15 foot waves?

  • @christianelvis14649 na lol it was only around 8 or nine foot

  • @ crusherdub, I dunno the guys name but he had his nose and huge amounts of facial tissue sliced off by his fin

  • These guys are brave to hit the monsters.

  • I still have a public dare for the "pro bull riders" to contact me to prove they have the "most dangerous 8 seconds in sports" like they try to promote. I will allow 1 year for prep - but I'm pretty confident that most big wave surfers would get on a bull's back, and that not ONE bull rider would paddle out into surf like this and take the wave. (the bull rider and surfer must be ranked in top 100). I have $10,000 on this challenge. We all know what sport is the most dangerous 8 sec - SURFING

  • I got rocked on a 7 ft wave. This is death.

  • woohoooo it always looks so easy when they make waves :)) this puts it in perspective. its jaws right? have you guys heard about cyclops? def the sickest wave on the planet. found it using the surftripmap(.com) which is a poster with all surfspots of the planet on it. just a hint for the surfers out there ;)

  • 1:34: HARDCORE

  • whats the song name?

  • 1:40 right on impact that would of hurt badly

  • Kahuna gets his shorts washed!! That ain't no Maytag.. washing machined on the coral reef, don't get 'em sparklin' cleen, gets 'em shreded brah!!!

  • I've been lucky enough to surf at Oahu, Calif, the Atlantic (Emerald Isle, North Carolina). From point breaks to shore slam. The locals would fight over ankle-breakers, 6-12inch waves, 150 guys all trying at once, Stoopid! Yet when the big hurricane waves rolled in from the Bahamas and Bermuda, the only ones out were, me and four locals, we got some gnarly 25-30 foot with off shore wind, it would chatter ya pretty good, sand bottom is a mushy ride compared to reef break

  • When you buy a big gun, leave your worries in the van. thats what its all about.

  • when i wipe out the thing im afraid of most is getting hit by my surfboard, and other people

  • When you surf waves that big, you're putting your life right in mother natures hands. So fucking risky. All it takes is one wrong bail. All that water crashing down on you to knock the wind out of you, then how much longer do you think you can hold your breath?

  • 0:38 Epic wipeout, u can see him being tossed round in the tube , then beeing sucked over the falls

  • oohh shit !!! :D

  • uhhhhhhhh

    best video ever??????

  • 0:59 thats like jumping off a 15ft roof and hitting ground, water is not a pillow from that height

  • That wave is moving so fucking fast.

  • Now that's real surfing right here! That is entertainment.

  • this isnt surfing u just like watching pain, this has nothing to do with surfing, a real surfer wouldnt be entertained by other surfers misfortune

  • It's not "misfortune." Like skateboarding, bullriding, downhill skiing, boxing, or any other extreme sport, when you push the limits to (try to) become the best in your sport you have to pay the price. Every big wave surfer wipes out. Every bullrider has been stomped and thrown and busted up. Every skateboarder worth his salt has had broken bones. Every world class boxer has taken his shots. It's not misfortune; it's the dues you pay to play the game.

  • limajoe you dont know what your talking about mate

  • You're obviously not an athlete, or a surfer. If you are, you're certainly not very good. You haven't paid the price to be good, or else you wouldn't have made such a stupid comment.

  • amen bud, hb15577 your a fucking dickless pelican who doesn't know rat shit from rice bubbles.

  • @joshlange1234 yeah sorry mate hes right i dont even know why i wrote that

  • at least your man enough to admit it, very big of you, you just wanted to shit stir someone didn't you?

  • @joshlange1234 haha pretty much

  • hey im pretty entertained

  • Comment removed

  • thats corny it was probobly a 3 foot wave you just dont know how to judge

  • how do they survive this stuff it's CRAZY

  • holy crap. they all probably died lol

  • holy shit

  • 1:41

  • hurts too much...oouuuchhh OMG

  • You know when you watch shit like this you think to yourself wow i am one crazy motha faka

  • 1:00 ouch

  • Ive ridden double over, but luckily never took more then a trip through that washing machine. Never bailed hard on a huge face like that. Knock on wood.

  • whats this song??

  • must have gotton killed at :41

  • 1.00 omg he falls like 10 metres

  • wow! that is asome! were is that place that they were surfing at?

  • rurikvred, 100% true. the only thing predictable about surfing is its danger and unpredictability

  • Surfing.

The most consistently dangerous sport: It's not manageable, not predictable, not controllable, not a place for the weak-minded nor the physically unprepared.

Even on a 6 ft wave, the lip of a shore break bowl can pile-drive you into 2 feet of water, feet first.

You can kick out of a 3ft wave, and have your board hurtle back at you, the sharp fin edge slicing off a facial feature. Seen it happen. (remember The Strand Nose Decapition Incident, circa 1975, with Eric) Salt Creek Local.

  • @rurikvred very true, but these pepole do it because of the love. A very epic and personaly i find therapeutic sport. none of what you said is wrong however in my opinion its not "the MOST consistently dangerous sport" its not the safest either but i dont t think its the most dangerous.

  • @rurikvred i go to salt creek all the time, what decapitation incident?

  • @rurikvred

    write a novel?

  • @rurikvred surfing isnt that bad, i hate when white wash the size of houses break on you tho

  • @rurikvred Creek and Strands is where it is at!!! I just hate all the people sometimes, it never hurts to check 10th, T-street, Calafia, or capo to find less crowd. Especially with the new access point at point.

  • @rurikvred Before you go posting stuff like this, do some research. In terms of significant injuries per year, surfing isnt in the top ten of sports considering time spent actively doing the activity (football, soccer basketball etc.) More dangerous the BULL RIDING-MOUNTAIN/Rock CLIMBING-BASE JUMPING-HORSEBACK RIDING-CAVE DIVING, dont even get me started on rugby or gymnastics, BOXING? Wake up. anyone with common sense will realize your wrong

  • @andoman121 we dont wana here your whiny shit

  • @rBabaly Thank you for your entry level rebuttal

  • @rurikvred Dude u just described the exact thing that happened with me with exact size of waves i got stiches close to my eye with 3 ft waves :P

  • I took on a 6 foot wave and fucked myself up

  • wow. ive ridden a couple 15 footers at pipeline and i took some hard bails. nothin quite like this though. ouch. thats wat we get though for trying to do sh*t like this

  • Omg! This video scares me just watching it!

  • 0:54 fucking dropper!!!!!

  • 1:05 " Daddy! " Daddy! "

  • Big ups to you crazy bastards who try to harness Ms. Nature for 20 seconds, it's simply incredible.

  • thats tight

  • aye its only hard the first couple of times as long as u kno wat ur doing and ur confident about it and u gota be able to hold ur breath for awhile too

  • holy crap

yeah im sticking to the 5 foots now

  • Does it sounds like Trent Reznor..... ?

  • This takes guts just to paddle out ! its up there alongside superbike GP and supercross riders somehow i think this tops all the extreme sports hands down. Eddie lives

  • lol at 1:38.

Do they even wear a leech?

  • gargantuan waves... the music is simply perfect for such a gnarly video. does anyone know the song title and/or artist. this is a classic

  • ok that would be funny... to somebody who hasnt been smashed by a wave bigger than 7 ft fuck i got pumped by a 7 ft wave and was shitting bricks but this is fucking amazing

  • no shit 5-6 foot waves quicken my heart when i paddle into them i couldn't imagine this shit.

  • youtube audio converter

  • big waves= win,

    surfers= fail

  • and this is why, my friends, that I have never surfed a wave larger than 5 feet.

  • 1:40 ...fucked

  • they need a tow in!!!

  • why tow when u can paddle

  • more speed, then more likely to get away from the wipeout

  • 1:03 OMG lol long fall

  • Dude whats the name of the song and/ or Band?

    and sick vid

  • 1:40 i wouldnt be suprised if they were in a coma

  • 1:39

  • mmmmmmmmmmm lip to the head..
