0:19-0:21 you should double the white notes on the bottom with the right and keep the left on the black notes, much simpler. but ya, better than a lot of others ive heard.
I don't mean to copy what everyone else just said, but regarding the stick heights, think about it like this... Is it easier to hit a target when you're 10 feet away or 20 feet away? This will fix a lot of your inaccuracy issues.
Also, when you get into a real audition setting, you're not going to have the luxury of a camera where you can take as many takes as you want until you don't miss any notes. You want to get your % of notes missed as small as possible, and it is generally considered that lowering mallet height is an effective way to do this. The only people who have very high note accuracy and play demanding music with large stick heights are drum corps front ensembles.
hey 205 out of 207 nots isn't too bad.....and yeah i know what you mean about a real audition setting, lucky me my brain went on autopilot and i don't think i missed any!!!!!
Not as bad as I thought.Keep working on it.

what kind of mallets are you using?
gamergirl54931 2 years ago
if you bring your stick height down like 95% and play it faster you'll be good at the excerpt.
