  • lol did you hear everbody ohhhhwwwwaaaaa

  • huhh what a job! perfect!

  • Tailwheels rule! lol

  • Cessna 310 awsome thumbs up!

  • Yeah my old home is crossing from the Van Nuys airport...ha no kidding! I visited there sometime....

  • ooh my god! Baby he is a GOOD pilot ! perfect landing, he turn the propeller before landing! unbelievable

  • "A one time shot ... They turned the engines off ... you're not going to turn them back on" Idiot newsreader guy, why couldn't they restart the engines? There was nothing wrong with the engines!

  • @AllenRockwell If he would have landed with the props spinning at well over 1000 rpm, the engines would have been destroyed because the props would have collided with the asphault. The smartest thing to do was shut them down.

  • @USAF300 I know that. I'm a pilot. Read my comment. My point was that he could have restarted them if he needed to go around.

  • @AllenRockwell I understand what you're saying, but I think he wouldn't have known if he needed to go around until he was in the flare. So, I don't think he would've had time to restart quickly enough; especially a twin.

  • Nice job trying to save the prop(s), but he could've worried about touchdown a bit more (seconds before touchdown he was still fiddling with his prop). Nevertheless a good landing.

  • @Edds01 his not saving the prop his saving his head from a part of the prop

  • The pilot did a grate job. That airplane only needs 1 or 2 things but it's cheep. Fix the nose and the landing gear. ;)

  • i would say the push tube for the nose gear broke or the bell crank broke. You got to watch the nose gear in those cessna 3A10,s. pilot did a great landing.

  • OOH. yes you do practice

  • yea... this guys don't know what they are doing....simple solution really...they could have pulled over, gotten out and fixed the damn landing gear.

  • NICE!!!! Finally someone who thought out what they would do and spent the time to shut down the engines and save themselves 20-30 thousand dollars. Never understood why so many pilots make these landings with the engine running.

  • E S P E C T A C U L A R

  • tomtomx4- Did you think of how many thousands of flights ended successfully in the past year? Those ones don't ever make the news.

  • he even keep the props into the horizontal position for sure a gret pilot

  • Excellente coverage of this happening by the news crew, I want to congratulate this tv news, and the pilot also has a lot of credit for his calm atitude to get the control til the final. greetings from Guadalajara Jalisco Mexico.

  • Great airmanship by the PIC. Even bothering to turn the engines over until the props were both close to horizontal so not to damage the engines. Great landing.

  • he did open the doors prior to touch down though

  • @LaZyLuKe25

You typically do that because after the landing the airframe could twist jamming the door closed

  • probably will have to bulk strip both motors if props hit the ground, megabucks$.

  • was the propeller been damanged ?

  • Great Job !!

  • great!

Has anyoned noticed how many more emergency landings there has been in the past year

    OK so we have:

the quantus jet that had the hole

the fire on the plane at madrid airport

    the hudson

    buffalo

    an emergency landing here..

    WHATS UP MAN!

  • Amazing landing in a very tough situation!!!

  • GREAT PILOTS
