It's not that they need information, they also need to know how to respond to the information. @PsihoDD the problem is that their future prediction to their sales will have more variance than usual causing either more inventory built up or running out of safety stock to stock out. Forecasters should be more accurate in their sale predictions and this bullwhip effect causes them to be less efficient. There is the problem.
