  • Saw Orbital at cream at the pier head in liverpool in 99 they were amazing Doctor who into chime just at midnight unbeliveable !

  • Brilliant going to see Orbtial in April can not wait

  • I Thought it sounded like doctor who! good ol' eccleston ^.^

  • Brilliant song! But what on earth is Eccleston on about?

But a brilliant song which always makes me think, 'this stuff is genius!'

  • Heaven is empty, and Hell is bursting at the seams !

  • Its from a UK tv drama about 2005 called The Second Coming and was done by the same folk who bought back Dr Who, you can get it on DVD

  • because of this song magical things happen in my life at the moment!

  • If this song doesn't make you want to do something with your life then there is something seriously wrong with your programming...

  • Ultimate.

  • If you want the position of God then take the responsibility.

    truth-fucking-bullets.

  • Sneaky Bastards!

  • @hooberschmit Cheeky Bastards, actually ;)

  • First time I heard the blue album I was very unimpressed with it.... it just burbled along in the background whilst I was playing around on my PC. I nearly fell off my chair when Christopher Eccleston piped up :)

  • my mate told me to check this tune out!!

    I am very impresssed!!

  • who put this big bloody clay flower lovingly baked in the oven that glowed in the dark around my flamin neck? You were in a cat suit, your folks where hippies, and we may have fucked to orbital and/or lenord cohen? you left me, and i fell asleep in my parents sofa naked but at least i got an A'level in psyhology and breathed heavily on a girl with a cat suit.

  • Rermarkable song. Loveit.

  • Wow!

  • @RibNSpicY lol.. That would get me down.. being told we're becoming gods.. while I perform mindnumbing tasks of uselessness

  • I'd assumed it was from Dr Who

  • cheeky bastards!

  • Brothers making mad tunes

    Hardcore approach

Clubs are shite nowadays full of posers

  • This is why god invented repeat button...

  • Fodástico!

  • Gostei muito! Melhor que isso...

    PUTZ!!

  • łaaaaaa...co za kawałek...no pycha!

  • where's the radio buttons (play, skip, back, save etc) so I can skip this track and move onto the next one??

Maybe someone should start writing that Third Testament and add it to the existing religious doctrine of our planet and universe and would describe what we should from now onwards as in the line "Onward Christian Soldiers" and describe what we actually do to achieve world peace"????

  • i love orbital i love second coming i love Christopher Eccleston i love this song!!!

  • reminds me so much of when i was reading brave new world :)

  • mixes well with orbital - lost...

  • If you want the position of god, then take the responsability!!!

  • you...... are becoming gods.

  • lol ...you have a fertile imagination my Orbital-lovin' freind heh heh !

  • theres allways one

  • hands UP biAtches!!

  • how do get this tune to play when the cd is still in its case ? ....magic

  • It's a special sort of futuristic CD that only I own a copy of! You see in the future all you have to do is look at a CD, and it will play your favourite songs as it reads your mind!

  • @JoeStephens78 We are becoming GODS!

  • @JoeStephens78 from the far distant year of 2004

  • @JoeStephens78 What u people talk is the most inconceivable thing i see , it feels im entering a new community

  • @UniqueWeekend In order for you to comprehend my friend, my futuristic vision i may lend. For if it is seeable, the inconceivable can become concievable.

  • @JoeStephens78 Only stoner mind people have that expanded thinking , Im in the right place :)

  • @JoeStephens78 The future sounds shitty if I only can listen to the same old favorite songs over and over. When can't I get some new favorites? Pretty sure all my favorite songs are on my ipod already and I can even listen to new songs the may become a new favorite in my time period. This future sounds very limiting.

  • @JoeStephens78 Will you really be in possession of your own mind by then or will what you think be an instant Thought crime, the Police state is coming on strong.

  • This song speaks to the soul of humanity. H1N1?

  • Hands up, anyone who thinks you've got it right.

  • Cheeky Bastards!

Haha Eccleston is the ultimate cheeky bastard :p

  • oprah has her hand up

  • YES it didnt have the CHEEKY B*&^&*s bit cut out! classic tune ! im just glad its all there lol

  • Thanks for the comment mate! I am however intrigued as to where you have heard this song with 'The Cheeky Bastards' line cut out?!

  • @JoeStephens78 i didnt say i have heard it with that part cut out!

youtube like to cut audio out / swear words and anything pretty much they like or do not....

thats why i said it lol

  • Sorry Mate for my Misunderstanding! Wasn't aware that You Tube cut out swear words, etc! Peace.

  • @JoeStephens78

I listened to this and the "cheeky bastards" part was not cut out. Maybe it's because of the country factor?

To my mind, censorship makes one soft and naive. It's a horrible, lying thing without a reasonable basis for existence.

  • @veeezis While most things should be uncensored, a line does need to be drawn. Neonazis shouldn't exist, recipes for anthrax shouldn't be floating around, etc. As far as swearwords go, fuck censorship.

  • watcha ! ça tabasse !

  • Love the HQ recording. Haven't heard this track in donkey's years... Began my journey into Electronica with Art of Noise back in 84 (when O was 10 y.o.), and I have enveloped myself in it ever since. Orbital are one of those few groups that reward the listener with new finds every time! In Sides is still a regular on my playlist almost 15 years after its release. Orbital, EPIC stuff!!!!

  • Thanks for the comment mate! Similar thing with me mate. Got into electronic music in the late 1980's, and still love it to this day! Especially Orbital!

  • hey joe!

i never came up with the theory.

boethius did, it just struck a chord with me and i have remembered it ever since.

  • Ok!. It makes good sense though man!.

  • It's my belief that history is a wheel. 'Inconstancy is my very essence,' says the wheel. Rise up on my spokes if you like but don't complain when you're cast back down into the depths. Good times pass away, but then so do the bad. Mutability is our tragedy, but it's also our hope. The worst of times, like the best, are always passing away."

  • wow

  • Yea, there's always one.

  • Hella YAAA! Shout out to Orbital. I loved this stuff back in the day and still do. Orbital never harshes my mellow.

  • best tune is belfast

  • orbital are more again the brothers are head lining global gathering this year:) any idea what film they sampled the words from?

  • Orbital are again?!. Youv'e just made my day mate!. Any chance of any new material though?. Hope So!. The vocal sample was taken from Christopher Eccleston, and was taken from a T.V. Movie he starred in called 'Second Coming' that was screened on ITV1 several years ago.

  • i'm pretty sure its Christopher Eccleston in a television film production called "second Coming"

  • @plainlazy2097 - ww w.youtube.com/watch?v=--S8yIAhDB8

  • Wicked tune, only just discovered it, thx for uploading :-)

  • No problem mate!

  • yeah, too right man!. This song is timeless!

  • Blinding tune. Best on the album by a long chalk.

  • Yeah, it certainly is!. It actually get better and better the more and more I listen to it!.

I can't believe it almost 5 years old man!. Thanks every one for your comments so far!. Peace and respect.

  • Hear, Hear!

  • Classic indeed.

  • fantatic tune from a fantastic album...long live the Orbital.
