I loved the Joel Osteen 'repeat after me thing'. How anyone can see Osteen do that and than proceed to talk for a whole service about nothing in the bible whatsoever, and nobody there is bright enough to even notice this is crazy!!

Young people don't want some patronizing watered down version of Christianity. They yearn for truth. We must be accessible to them, able to connect with them and meet them where they are at, not to keep them where they're at but to allow God to work through us to raise them up to himself.

I think Ignatius is right, this is what christianity should be, helping those who struggle with sin, the act of standing up I dont think is something shameful, instead it is all about coming into the light...

Speaking about those who have a form of Godliness, but deny the power threreof, these are to be exposed and people pointed away from them. @DavidKWegley Okay. I am speaking as one who practices faith in Jesus. If I have a child of my own, I teach my child how I understand to treat people based on what I haved learned based on the bible and what I have been taught from my family.
I do not know what your experience is, but faith is a living thing, based on a relationship like a father teaching his son how to become a man.

I love how this video could be about anything else. it could be with race, with gender, with sexual orientation, and everyone would laugh. But the moment religion is brought up, everyone is prejudeced against it. There are those few who still think its funny, but everyone else is angry. I just find that hilarious.

@DavidKWegley Okay. I am speaking as one who practices faith in Jesus. If I have a child of my own, I teach my child how I understand to treat people based on what I haved learned based on the bible and what I have been taught from my family.
I do not know what your experience is, but faith is a living thing, based on a relationship like a father teaching his son how to become a man.

Why can't Christians think of anything first? This is basically a rip off of The Office. It's a decent rip off, but it's still a rip off. And no, this isn't lampooning religion. It's endorsing religion by attempting to poke fun at itself while not actually hitting the important issues.

Oh wow if that is what my kids are listening to in their worship we are so gone. Thank the Lord we are mature adults out there who take our youth seriously and do not make them feel that they are to be ashamed of their thoughts.

@binx1993 As a youth pastor myself, i would suggest that you spend at least some time in a youth worship service with your children. I hope that your church allows parents to have influence on what their children are taught by their youth minister. Don't wonder what your kids are hearing. go find out.

This is so disturbingly funny. The "character" of Ignatious probably rings a little more true than it should. I love it when he says -- "Who here struggles with their thoughts, especially after I told that story of my smoking, hot wife?" Hilarious! A good cautionary tale for all the graduates going into youth mnistry.

@chandlermagic - I don't think that was a crack at Louie Giglio. More a crack at youth ministers who can hear something profound, instead of taking it "personal", we say to ourselves "man, that's good, i'm going to use that". Then we get home, try to recreate it and screw it up. I've never done that before ;)
