So the stimulus didnt do shit for gm, or chrylser, it went to ford who made a better product without the assistance or need of a tax payer bailout

The stimulus has undoubtably created jobs that didn't exist before however at a very high cost and at a great opportunity cost as compared to tax cuts. Every $40 k of tax cuts ammounts to a new job in our economy when compared to the $130 k per job that the government has created.

@tito8512 the really funny thing about the stimulus bill is that a majority of the money that went to the auto companies didnt go to gm or chrysler which recieved the most from the auto bailout. 300 million went to ford the only one of the big 3 not to get bailout funds, when the govt purchased around 17k of more fuel efficent vehicles. So the stimulus didnt do shit for gm, or chrylser, it went to ford who made a better product without the assistance or need of a tax payer bailout

They made two attempts to contact me twice about voting for the right gubanatorial candidate and I just got a mailer from them today. The stimulus has undoubtably created jobs that didn't exist before however at a very high cost and at a great opportunity cost as compared to tax cuts. Every $40 k of tax cuts ammounts to a new job in our economy when compared to the $130 k per job that the government has created.

David, There is no social benefit in companies not running a profit. It doesn't provide cheep steel. The reason they don't run a profit is because they are unionized. You should probably take a look at General Motors and see what happened to them. There is no way that you can expect them to not outsource jobs overseas if unions continue to wanting what they refer to as "equal" pay, when the performance level of each of them are not equal.
