And this was coming from a man who wrote with partners on some of the biggest action films of the last 35 years. So why does your partner own 75%? Did he work 25% harder than you? Are you both repped by the same agent? Certainly protect your interests...but don't blow up a deal over money issues. They're too hard to come by. Wow, Longest reply ever!

Just saw this. Was originally brought on as a work for hire, and then sold 25% interest for cheap when I needed funds. Now, here we are, seven years later, almost.

Part of the problem is, we don't have representation yet, or at least, I don't. He wants his lawyer to rep me for deals we do together, but I don't think this is a good idea...

I don't believe the deal would blowup, I'm simply stating that I feel there's a better deal for me out there, irrelevant of what my partner wants to do 6left
