coins are not a big deal given he gave us the debug code. when you see hime turn into a ring in the beginning. He's actually generating his own rings. so you just keep pressing hte buttont till you get 50 then spawn back and jump and you become super sonic

you know what i figured out the other day you can go to the character select pick sonic only (its much easier to get the emeralds without worrying about him) hit all three checkpoints get the chaos emeralds from them. hit the soft reset or reset button on your genesis keep in mind you have to go back to options then character select and only sonic your emerald will still be there you cant hit the reset button anytime you mess up but if you have to keep going to character select works on all ver

For those that ask why level select isnt working, between 19 and 65 in the beginning of the code you NEED to do 19 and BEFORE the title screen theme ends you hit 65 and then 9 the rest doesnt matter. If entered correctly you'll hear a ring sound keep in mind you also have a sound test in the level select screen to use
