I might agree, but I don't think it necessarily sounded bad. And like I said, equipment makes a difference. I can't hit pinch harmonics with my neck pickup on my guitar, so if I'm doing some sort of metal solo (like this one), I stick to my bridge pickup. The tone may not be as good, but overall that pickup works better for that kind of solo.

So I get what you're saying, but I'm pointing out that what may be right for you may not be right for someone else.

well, I can only say you're absolutely right about the pickup.

Maybe it's the cam recording quality, or me, but I still think he should've gone with a little less drive, presence or high and a bit more mid and low. Then your pinches would still work with ease, the sound would be like it, only less sharp.
