  • this was beautiful and relatable i'm recovering from anorexia, bulumia, and orthorexia and i have recently worked with the hospital along with a bunch of other people to do an ad/bracelet campaign and i sent this video to my hospital (hope you don't mine) everyone pelase support me and other girls by liking, commenting, or following the facebook page "love our bodies love ourselves"

  • nice

  • This is the song from the movie amelie

  • Amazing!!!

  • What piano song is this ??

  • Beutiful. I cried whilst watching this.

  • This is an absolutely fantastic video. It was put together beautifully, and the message was loud and clear.

  • I LOVE IT just a quick suggestion maybe the topic of self harm would be a good thing to make like it ^-^ i still love it, peace out girl!

  • THIS SHOULD BE ON T.V

  • @GigglyRee I never stated that every anorexic person is going to die. I stated nothing but cold hard facts in the video. Please point out where I made such a statement, but until then I can't take your comment very seriously as it is an exaggerated assumption made from what was presented to you.

  • AMAZING.

  • gahh!! and you had to set it to the most beautiful, bittersweet music ever and make me cry.

    this was amazing.

  • Beautifully done <3

  • AMAZING!!!!

  • wow.

  • Fabulous video. And for a fabulous cause. x

  • I absolutely love this but the only issue I have with it is that it seems to lend itself to the stereotype that only teenage girls get anorexia. While this may be the majority of those suffering from the illness feeding this stereotype can make those who are older or men feel ostracized

  • this is amazing

  • brilliant oxx

  • @brocverschoor:

I love this as much as the first time I saw it. Powerful. Beautiful. Moving. Cathartic. Educational. Heartrending... OF CRITICAL IMPORTANCE! Thank you.

  • I broke into tears when I read...Mother..., this is very powerful, I love it. I agree with redjackpirate, please never remove this... thank you for posting

  • @nichole337biggestfan your obviously an asshole.

Great video btw. Hope you keep spreading the facts.

  • Wow, I can definitely say this spoke, to me, great job!

  • This is amazing and very artistic/moving.

  • this is amazing great video !

  • this video is probably one of the best,if not the best eating disorder information video out there. Please don't take it down!

  • Damn, this made me not want to eat. Anorexics get so much attention. I want to be anorexic now! :)

  • NEVER remove this video...it helped me seek someone to confront my battle with an ED. I cry when I watch this because it is very impactful.

  • This makes me cry.

  • This is very beautiful. I love it... I know when you say "What did you eat today ?.... too much" when is not too much...

  • I love the video :)

and the music it's so fantastic! :)

    i have a question...

how did you do that effect??

    like photos..

i want to try it.. ;)

    please answer :D

    P.D. my english it's not good... i'm sorry D:

  • @TuTuboRule Its just stop animation. Lots of photos. Take continuous photos of something and put them together in a program. I used Final Cut Pro, but you can even use Windows Movie Maker. Hope this helps. Let me know.

  • @brocverschoor

    thank u so much!

    :)

    be happy!

  • Today I ate a bagel, about 1/8 of a cup of vegetables, half a tortilla, a protein bar, and then I binged and had about 500kcals worth of chocolate.

    I hate eating.

    I hate myself.

    Usually I have 100-200kcals a day.

I lie about how much weight I've lost

I lie about what I ate

I lie to myself that it's "just a diet"

I lie to myself that I have control.

Thank you for the video. Really.

  • wow.

  • This video is incredible. Thought provoking. Visceral. Moving. Thank you so much for sharing this Creation. I am saddened that none of the organizations to which you submitted this video were interested in procuring it. As others have said, this is such an extraordinarily well done voicing of a critical message. You have touched my heart. I hope you will pursue future creative endeavors. Your Vision is incredibly Powerful. Well done, angel. Thank you.

  • cute i like it :) nice idea really

  • This video is SO AMAZING!!! It must've taken forever to shoot!

    Very powerful, though.

  • Oh my goodness. That song was in the french film amelie. Beautiful song.

  • This is beautifully made...probably my fav awareness ad

  • Very beautiful. However, I'm slightly offended because males suffer from eating disorders, as well, but were not mentioned directly.

  • @rpglover101 I do understand that to be the case, however I was working with the statistical information that 90% of people suffering from an eating disorder were women. Therefore, it was more geared toward women seeing that they are the primary target in media when it comes to self-image. It was in no way intended to offend the male victims of this disorder so for that, I apologize for any hurt feelings gathered by the viewing of this video.

  • Do you know any other sad songs such as this one?

  • O: MUSIC! AMELIE! <3

  • you are such a creative person !!! great job! I'd love to see it on TV one day.. !!!

  • This is just.... amazing.

  • I cried.

  • Wow, this made me cry. I've had an ED for about 6 years. It almost feels as if the person who wrote this knew what it felt like for themselves. Most student awarness films are just offensive, but yours speaks the true feelings of an ED.

    Great job

  • I cried when I saw it. Everything you say is completly true (believe me, I know..). Thank you for sharing, it one of the most beautiful videos i've seen about this subject.

  • Amazing job! Very creative and beautiful! I can't believe the big guns weren't interested... :/

  • Loved this video! Thank you for being a part of the solution not a part of the problem :) god bless

  • very amazing

  • wow very creative! Love it!

  • one of the strongest ed ads i have seen

i used this in a school assembly (hope you dont mind)

i really think this should be on tv, email some people and find out :)

  • I did try emailing some big time corporations whose primary focus relates to eating disorders. No one seemed very interested. @oklauraa

  • @brocverschoor well thats stupid! why on earth would they not be interested in this ad!!!!!! I JUST FREAKIN CRIED! this is BY FAR the best ED vid I have seen on youtube. this shouldn't be on TV. This should be on tv, in movie theaters, on the computer, in schools, in books, EVERYWHERE! thank you for making this <3

  • @brocverschoor read my msg!! i'm making this video so popular ... I'm from an eating disorders clinic (i'm anorexic/bulimic/orthorexic) and the hospital made a whole wedbsite and everybody's sharing and talking about and WATCHING your video because i posted it on the wall.... you need to reply to this stuff more : )

  • @ForeverTaylorSwift11 I didn't get a message from you. I'm glad to hear that it is getting out there. Honestly I thought they took this version down because of the song that was in it. I got an email saying it was taken down for copyright issues. But yet here it is... weird. Anyway whatever message you sent if there was pertinent information in there for me to know then please resend it. Thanks for reposting it and sharing it!

  • a really good video.

i love it, and it meant alot

  • about 200 Kcals a day.... a little less 200 Kcals a day... when I control my body.

  • omg this brought tears to my eyes. This video should be aired on TV, and everywhere! It is so emotional, raw, and true. I have been battling an ED for 8 years and finally in recovery. Please use this video to spread awareness, not only for your friends project, but for everyone out there that you could possibly touch their lives. Beautiful job.

  • wow wow wow this was soooo great & creative i love things like this(:

  • this video is really awesome!!

  • This is such an amazing video, never take it down cause it's amazing. Everything in the video is right...What is beautiful? You've eaten to much I really think it's amazing...As an anorexia sufferer I think this is absolutly mind-blowing, such a powerful message

  • It's my 23rd birthday today, and my 6th with eating disorders. This video made me cry, so true.

  • omg this video must have taken so long to make!

  • i really like this!

sure you got an a+ right??

i love you for making this video

    it is so beautiful

    thank you <3

  • @LitteMissPrincess

Ha I don't know if it got an A+ I made if for my friends project. The girl in the video is her. Basically she didn't know what to do and I really started having ideas so I did it for her essentially. I never really figured out what she got on the project lol. I was just content with the final outcome so I just left it at that. Glad you enjoyed it though!

  • wow.

  • this is cool howd u do this

  • The whole thing about being addicted to the feeling of acheivement hit home hard. I've never before been able to pinpoint what it is that keeps me doing this to myself. Great video.

  • this is such an amazing vidio.

i suffer from both anorexia and bulimia, and i think its one of the things iv seen that speaks most, im amazed you understood it enough to really make it work! (not many people do).

    i love it! x

  • Please Don't ever, EVER, EVER take this video down...it serves as inspiration to myself, who has been afflicted with an ED and others.

  • i am a media student and I have to make a video about anorexia and i really dont have a clue! yours is amaazing!!!! really hard hitting!! would you be able to give me any help?any ideas? x

  • This is amazing! I am an art/ media major, and deal with anorexia. Normally these "school" projects are just offensive, but yours really speakes the truth as well as I've seen yet. This should be aired on TV. Great job girl!

  • @PrancingUnicornFeet Thanks, I would love to have this air on TV... don't know how to make it happen though. and just as a point of reference I'm a guy... the girl in the video was the girl I made it for.

  • this is the best. great job!!!!!

  • the best anorexia ad i have ever seen!

  • @secretp101 I agree with this

  • Wow, really powerful.

  • this is incredible.

  • this video is really beautiful.

it spoke to me a lot and made me cry.

my mother suffers from an E.D.

    good job with the vid.

  • I want to be speak to someone. But I can't.

  • why?

  • Because i don't want my parents to get hurt...

  • Tthis is one of the best individual eating disorder awareness comercials I have seen! It really gets the point across about the dangers of Eds and it's incredibly moving. I love the upside down writing and the magazine cut outs (especially the tears).

    Great job!!

  • Thanks! : )

  • no way. we danced to this song in my ballet recital last year! ha... but the commercial is great. ha sorry

  • amazing

  • amazing... this is ... just amazing...

  • woah i love that

    rele powerful

  • this is really good it is keeping to the point and showing info

  • This is a really moving ad. Better than anything I've seen on tv for sure. It's shocking, but not in the typical way, a way which I know is triggering for many anoretics and bulimics. Instead it triggers me to find help. Though I know I won't, it triggers me to want to. Good job.

  • Thanks for the comment. I wish you the best of luck with your struggles. It really means a lot to me that you find it so powerful and I really do hope you find something or someone to help

  • probably one of the best ads ever....

  • Honey you gave me goose bumps all over... that was incredible!

I'm not kidding: you should get this video published on TV!!!

  • I'm glad you enjoyed this. I'm not sure how I'm supposed to get it on TV but it would be so cool to know that it would be helping people

  • this is awsome no need to correct it good job
