Has anyone else noticed that a bb gun seems to do more damage than an air rifle? Lead pellets flatten on impact therefore cause less devestation than the bb.

you need an FAC for any firearm moving faster than 450 fps i think. most .22 rifles will do about 495, this is a .177 so i think its JUST under the cutoff point for an AC.

i didnt think an airgun would generate speeds like 495fps but yesterday i was at Bass Pro Shops and i saw the Crossman backpacker which is a .22 caliber with a bolt action, and when i saw that it was hitting 495fps i was shocked.

shooting glass is a bad idea man. I did that once like a month ago on my driveway. I thought i had picked up all the pieces of glass, but a couple weeks later i step on something sharp. Look down and my foot is gushing blood. Now i cant swim for the rest of the summer cuz of this huge motherfucking cut on my foot. 350fps is like crossbow speeds man. my compound bow does like 280 - 300 i think, and at my farm we shot it at a big old tractor tire and it went through 1 side of it and his the wooden barn wall behind it. its not how fast its moving its the fact that it has a 70 pound pullstrength. the amount of force generated by the tiny little point is staggering
