interesting. a lot of computation for such a simple case. about 40-50 minutes of lecture just to cover it! This is much easier to understand now that i've learned about the Gaussian integral which you used a few times. Next i need to learn more about Fourier transforms cause that's a little unclear to me. Now if you had not take t = 0, would the solution simple have had exp(-iEt/h) term in it? since that term is constant w/respect to k wouldn't it be unaffected by the integration?
