It not just circumcision in those countries but the reason for circumcision. *ISLAM*! Compare Muslims in costal kenya vs the mwafrika (up country), there is no comparison. The difference is in the way of the Prophet ; the Final Messenger of the All mighty sent to All Mankind: Muhammad (*).
In true islamic communities sleeping arround &fornication = haraam, Adultry= haraam, Alchohol &Night clubs which are seed beds for fornication, adultry and divorvce = haraam in Islam. Kenya needs Islam

It is a dangerous and insidious myth that circumcision is a worthy preventative measure against AIDS. Circumcision has been shown to INCREASE HIV-1 infection in women. And as I already stated, the studies mentioned have already been discredited.
With the money they are wasting on this pro-circ propaganda, they could fund proper sex education and condoms.
Have a quick look at America versus Europe in HIV infection rate and circumcision rate, and see which method wins.

Only one of these trials was actually "completed". Other studies discredited these results:

Plus, the langerhans cells so badmouthed by the pro-circ crowd, are actually front-line immune cells. HIV goes for them because immune cells are what it attacks. But quite far from being sitting ducks, these cells produce a substance called langerin which is actually a barrier against HIV.

Wait a minute,circumcised men still have to use condoms? So put the effort that is wasted in male genital mutilation into sex education. Guaranteed results with no drawbacks that are inherent in mutilation. If these men are going to have to use condoms anyway,then why the hell would they or should they get mutilated? Condoms are pretty damn effective,and so long as they are used,getting mutilated is just overkill.

The 3 African controlled trials have serious shortcomings. One is failure to allow for the confounding effect of circumcision on sexuality during the trials. It is naive to assume there will be no such effect (sore penis etc.). The men's sexual behaviour SHOULD have been logged both pre-and post-circumcision (number of partners etc.) to factor this in - very important due to the short period of trial monitoring. Another inherent weakness is that such trials cannot be done "double-blind".

How was this study conducted? Were all the men in the study subjected to the same risks? Were their female sexual partners studies? What was the frequency of exposure of both the partners? Has that kind of research done in the west? Since we know that the west is not completely free from HIV/AIDS!
