diz has been gone awhile, so get used to it...this guy sounds ok....be thankful that members of the next generation have taken an active interest in this stuff....
Dude... I've heard much worse sounds coming from people who call themselves trumpeters. The sound is fine, considering the piece is all about the speed. If this was some slow piece that requires magnificent sound, than yes, i would be a critic. It's a technical piece though, and frankly he nailed it!
you really got your fast playing down, good work! i think your 'out' stuff was a bit iffy, as in not 'correct out', but i enjoyed it all the same...awesome!
god how do you memorize that stuff. i have trouble memorizing my marching music which is pretty hard music. but what your playing is amazing. great job!!
dude thats not memorizing... mesmerizing yes, but he wasnt memeorizing anything. he was just playing whatever came to his head. its called improvisation. you get chord changes and then you play the notes withing those chords and scales then thats what you get.
awesome-i'm goin to the hartt school next year as a freshman...you sound good..keep it goin! (i'm a classical player more than jazz..a lot more than jazz)

This comment has received too many negative votes show
The trumpet guy has some technique, but there is no projection! Also, the sound is extremely poor! No quality! Sorry, I'm too honest!

Just because it's a technical piece doesn't mean that you ignore the other aspects. A great trumpet player implies all of them no matter the piece.

it would be a lot different if you heard it live, recording always screws up the sound
