Summarize of RP on Social Sec.
1. GEt the country solvent so it can afford to pay entitlements
2. Dont pay to illegals who've only been here for 18mths which is bankrupting the system
3. Dont tax social security income
4. Allow younger people to pay less payroll tax and give the option of self directed retirement funding

fearonism, you don't grasp the basics. Ron Paul is not a "work together" guy. His comments about the Great Depression are DISGUSTING. WHY are you overlooking that? And his insistance that Social Security "is not going to work" is absurd. Please read the links int he video description, I can't undo all the propaganda fed to the public for decades in a few comments.

Basics for you are irrelevant for me in that as it stands neither paul nor kucinich is in striking distance in the polls and we have 3 weeks before voting starts. Many people are going to start making up their minds in the next 2 weeks and perhaps based on who the medai is covering after Iowa and New Hampshire.

Yes he'll do ok in NH but I seriously think that DK supporters and Gravel supportrs cant see the forest for the trees. DK and RP are friends and have expressed interest in working together. If all those dems registered republican to get RP in office he'd do MUCH better and may even win. As it stands I dont think either one will get in.
1st objective is get honest men in the white house then we can squabble over policy

there is private health care and it's generally seen as rather a lot better than NHS but people generally only go for it if they're on too long a waiting list, have expended their NHS funding or as a last resort because it's v. v. expensive!
Thing is everyone thinks it's ridiculous that u should have to pay so much for decent care! Everyone feels like the NHS should be able to provide the same level of care, and I agree!

Polls are skewed but in elections momentum counts and neither of them have momentum enough separately to carry their own party. The Depression quote is taken out of context.Talking about Social Security he said Americans did fine pre 1935.Its naive in the sense he overlooks the depression but its not like hes happy folks were poor.The country was broke so even if there was a social security inflation would've eaten up the payments. The key to solvency is in Ron Pauls platform.

Yes, people stealing from me to pay for their own retirement and health insurance may be in their interest, but that doesn't make it right. If you really care about these things, you should donate your money to causes which support it instead of effectively putting a gun to my head and making the choice to give my money away for me.
I used to really respect your videos and support you, but you just made me question how right your ideals are.

Intelligent and knowledgeable supporters of Kucinich and Gravel know that Ron Paul pushes extremely horrible policies. WHat you are arguing is ridiculous. I think many Ron Paul supporters are just naive or ignorant. This isn't a game. People who support Kucinich and Gravel are not going to go for a guy that wants to destroy Social Security & denies the reality of American suffering during the Great Depression.

as weapons systems covered in the measure.

hey man, u know I'm with you on the point that everyone must have health care, but the current system is system of SICKNESS, 80-90% of meds aren't proven to work & have side effects - which are EFFECTS, it's because state is in bed with Pharmaceutical Industry which wants people to be sick so they can sell more meds!
The state monopoly will be a private monopoly in no time, I agree that healthcare should be available to everyone but it shouldn't be a private or socialised monopoly.
